Global Gani Team

I was just wondering, is there ever going to be a global gani Team?
They have Global Scriptors, Global GFX Makers, Global Level Makers, but no Global Gani Team, atleast I don' think they do

Actually, if you look in the global gfx team application Zen seperated it into two areas...ganis and gfx and hired for both ;x I believe I was the only person hired under ganis but err...something is wrong with the guild cp

What's with the global graphics team anyway? What are they supposed to do?

I think they check for copyrighted stuff sometimes and make stuff for 2k2 other times.

That's stupid. The PWA can check for such graphics, and working for 2K2 doesn't warrant a 'global' prefix.

See my thread entitled "Re: Global Graphics Team" in the 2k1 main forum.

You don't see a point to the team of scripters which helps servers fix their scripting problems, and teaches them certain things? It's rather obvious to me, but then again that's because it's part of my job.

I can clearly understand the reasons for a GST... but almost any other global developement is not needed.

GST assist many servers with their daily scripting problems...
The graphics team... I've never seen any activity from any members...

A gani team would be useless, you'd be better off getting jobs at almost all the servers -_-
What will they do, fix gani problems?

I believe this same issue was brought up about a global levels team?

Servers should be responsible and able to fix their own scripts. :O

I thought Zen uploaded heads and such globally also but err...global ganis can be handy such as making default hat on/off and doll walking ganis for Classic style bodies.

That's not always possible.
Scripters are not at many... and although anyone can script what they want... it may not always be healthy for the server...

A NON-stolen graphic can't harm a server, nor can most ganis...
on the otherhand, a script can.

Graphics you say? Dusty you and i both know if anyone steal any of my work from Doomsday i would flipp out, I mean i would flip out on that person. Well getting back to reality i would really be pissed and try and take my anger out on that person.

But in other hand, what if stuff are to be stolen .. yes i saw sparks new rules. It's a good thing we have thoese rules but does that mean everyone knows about thoese rules or intend to follow them? What happens if they don't? I mean i like the idea i seen in another thread each playerworld have there own graphics folder. But if this problem continues to happen and people don't listen i belive something should be done about it. There must be some sort of team to control these situation. Not everyone here knows every global contact nor does every global wants to be bother every minute about stolen stuff. And since the GST is so small i belive the other team should be put back in place and do there duty like the GST or be fired simple as that. If unix expect us to pay for these server and we are getting stuff stolen little by little doesn't that effect the whole point of this game? Reason people buy these server is not because we want to look like zelda we wish to improve and go beyound. Same goal i have in Doomsday i bet many other great server would like to see a more protected feature for our moneys worth and by all means our hard work not to be stolen. I don't think it hard for unix to get together back a new global team for each content.

Mabey i went off topic a bit but blah sue me

Though there is no gani team, I don't see why they would hire you when we haven't seen any of your work.

I think the general decision was that a globabl gani team is un-needed...about a month ago too.

1. Bragging about yourself with absolutely no proof gets you no where when you're trying to be hired for something.
2. I've never heard of you.
3. Lets see some examples of your 2k2 ganis. And. If you think working on 2k2 means you're a "gani maekar 2 da extrem!!1!11", you're wrong. Ganis need quality to be good, it's not the server you work on.
4. There is no global gani team, there never will be. As stated in the posts above.
5. *points to post times* Quite a big gap, don't you think?

I personally think all global areas are needed. You know what a GST does, well thats what all the other globals are supposed to do. You have the scripters which can help on all the servers, then you have your global admins which help with stuff. Global graphics would do the same except with graphics, levels with levels, and ganis with ganis. I do think though that Gani's should be incroporated into Gloabl Scripting Team and not the Graphics though.

The job of the GST is not to provide scripts for people. Our primary function is to examine playerworlds for inefficiencies and security holes - something that is inapplicable to graphics, ganis or levels.

What the hell. Ganis and scripts are completely different.

Here is what the GGT officially does:

"*Assists administration servers (classic, 2k1, 2k2)" - I have done that as I do graphics for 2k1 and kingdoms in any case and I helped this one guy on Classic.

"Moderates graphical content on Playerworlds" - Most of you don't have access to it but if you look in the GGT area of the forums you'd see a few threads with head #s and such that resemble characters from FF games or so >_>

"*Assists with graphic problems/questions the population may present to us" - Annoying ;x

Karsh stole the words from my mouth <3 Cept...
"4. There is no global gani team, there never will be. As stated in the posts above."...refer to attachment X_x (I should be multi though, wait oh neat...gani maker is the highest rank besides admin 8-) )
