Ship safety

I don't know if this is available already, but how about a way to make your ships safe? people keep stealing mine... and when I log off, they steal them too.

I remember when i first started and i didn't know a lot about the server i wanted boats to be safe too, but i don't anymore.

Now i don't think changing them is necessary; it's only a 50board requirement, and its not like losing one boat is the -end of the world-. A safe boat would mean you could easily block up stuff with boats, and it would also nullify the use of kingdom shipyards.

However, a nice system to make ships in the kingdom's shipyard good, would be that only boats with less than 90% health can be boarded by non-creators if the ladder is up (the creator can lower and raise the ladder even when off the boat).

Disagreed. It's fine as is with shipyards and the ladder system. Making them fully prevented from being stolen is a lame idea, especially for RP purposes and it would also result in a large number of uneccessary boats to be all over the island (much like pets.)

no what I ment is the solution to his problem is too press A for the ladder

hears an idea i've been pondering about for a while, make a shipyard for each seprate kingdom on the main island, that way you can goto main and keep your ship, but maby make a restriction, like say, boats under 80% can't enter the shipyard, that way it's not always used

This way, you can have a happy house-boat as long as you stay online and remain aboard... get off or sign off and the ladders are back.

That would make main even more crowded, wouldn't it? besides, it's meant to be neutral ground, thus it wouldn'd fit the consept...

You have to admit though, chris, that it sucks ass when you spend ages filling your shipyard with boats like zormite did, only to have some imbecile leave the gate open and then some other imbecile who isn't even in a kingdom or isn't roleplaying, or you aren't even at war with another kingdom, come along and steal some of the boats.

thats what Satrek said, I see empty boats without ladders, and put the boat to where someone cant swim to

No, maybe you've been away from the Kingdom life too long; it becomes the kingdom's problem if he's stupid enough to leave it open. I remember trying to enforce strict guidelines in Zormite to keep the gates closed, and i remember Dax before me putting the guidelines in place. It is hard.
