Somebody seriously needs to remove the snowflakes from the website... I can't have my Guild CP open because the stupid snowflakes lag me to death!!!!

To be honest, annoying, animated stuff is poor useage of webmaster powers. :-/

All I can say is, it would have been nicer if the graphics on the site had been 'wintered' up with snow and such, rather than put a bunch of randomly moving snow flakes on the screen which just sap video resources. I'm not trying to blast anybody or anything of that sort, but the snowflake graphics make it difficult to use the site even with a beefy ATI AIW 9700 Pro graphics card and 1 gig of DDR 3200 RAM. Oh, and that 2.8GHZ Intel p4 w/hyperthreading as well.

I dunno, to see the graal logo with snow and stuff would be cool. A buncha random snowflakes, not quite as cool.

I'm having no troubles with the snowflakes.

They don't ruin my surfing on the graal homepage.

I'm on a Ms-Starforce GeForce MX 440- 64bit -

But maybe for others they have trouble.

On this computer I have an onboard SiS 32mb gfx card, pent2 1.3GHz and 92mb of SD RAM (I'm just playing around on this one, my new one is down stairs that I use for CS ) and I dont lag at all on the website. So you're either lieing or your computer is junk.

Well they dont give me any problems. Since this does cause problems for some players and not for others the logical solution would be to have an option to turn them off on the main site.

Hyperthreading is like, twice the speed of ddr im told. So if you lag with that get a new computer dumb dumb. Oh, pent4 sucks. Get AMD 2.3

Hyperthreading has nothing to do with DDR. Hyperthreading is allowing the CPU to act as a multiple-processor entity, pushing multiple threads at the same time.

And, Pentium 4's don't suck.

Again I ask you to only speak when you know what the hell you're talking about. Look at Kamoo's post for an explanation of what hyperthreading is. What the hell is an AMD 2.3?

DDR has to do with memory in the case of P4's. The P4's front side bus is multiplied by 4, while DDR is only multiplied by 2.

I like the idea of HyperTransport buses personally.
