he was asking about making the inventory window pop up, what you're saying could be used to detect when it is brought up, but wouldn't actually make it happen (you can't simulate a key being pressed to make the weapons list open)

Dunno why he'd want to, maybe just listing the weapons in there would help him... Only conceivable thing i could think of at the moment is an npc saying "Hey look, i gave you this" or somesuch.

It's for a gui. If you Push one of the buttons, the weapon screen is supposed to go up. If it can't be done its ok.

You're requesting a script for a new inventory system, though you seem to think you're asking about a command that already exists for some predefined inventory system other than the current one. The solution to your stated problem is simple: script it.
