Map Generation Problem

Hey. When I generate the map of my levels which are done so far, it puts black squares on the EXACT same levels it did when we generated the Tribulation map! What causes this?

I have the same problem with the Tribulation map when I generate it. The levels connect fine and everything and there are no errors but when I generate the map it makes black squares in the same exact spot to about the center of the map then stops.

Also this is with gmaps that I'm having this problem.

Also at least for me its not a generated level error as the overworld has been completely hand made. Maybe this has something to do with it?

Not directing my comments to you directly Piggy just to any one who might have an idea of whats up.

I moved the LEVELNAMES thing down a line and it worked fine.
Is like:

GRMAP001
HEIGHT 2
WIDTH 2

LEVELNAMES
"nuba1.nw","nubb1.nw"
"nuba2.nw","nubb2.nw"
ENDLEVELNAMES

And yes i did type all this..

Don't put quotes around your level names in gmap files.

The new level gen that generates gmaps with it now does it with the "," as well. Which is what I used for a template when making mine. I just removed all of the quotation marks and I still have the same problem with the black squares starting up in the right corner. I also tried the space that Piggy was talking about. I'm guessing the "," doesnt matter either way since it had no effect on how the map was generated and the level generator makes it with the "

hmm..

I can remember making only a few changes that may be fixed it. First, I added the "MAPIMG" command and the "MINIMAPIMG" command... And of course like I said before I lowered the LEVELNAMES thing but from what you said that didnt make any difference....

GRMAP001
HEIGHT 20
WIDTH 20
MAPIMG trib-map1.gif
MINIMAPIMG

LEVELNAMES If this doesnt work, you are doomed o.o I switched to the old style "map.txt" system so I dont figure I will be having this problem again....

map.txt sucks the problem doesnt matter as there wont ever be a public versionof the map I'm generating. In game the automapping doesnt show the black squares. Not sure I'll even allow automapping might do something similar to GK only different.

You're right but not bad for him just making all that off the top of his head.
