Diamonds

Diamonds should be easy to get.

Diamonds should be craftable in a seperate Diamond
craft shop where it takes a while to craft them from minerals
like in the old G2k1 crafting system.

Or Diamonds could be found more easy
from different monsters

And the economy is crazy, theres no jobs to
make money but there are things that cost
30,000 plat at the store...

No they deffinatly should not. If they were easy to get people would have at least 6 diffrent prepared weapons. Getting prepared weapons is not supposed to be easy to do.

First of this is not G2k1...... And the idea of crafting a diamond in the matter of minutes it obsean in the first place.... it takes thousands of year and tons of pressure to make a single diamond from coal..... That is what makes them rare....

Well i guess they are kind of bad BUT I have killed like 100+ rex, I have not seen a single diamond. I even have lucky boots +2 and a lucky rabbit charm and I had high luck from the beggining, so I am oozing luck and i still am not seeing diamonds. I don't know what my luck actually is though, I dont know where to see it at.

Steel can damage diamond, but it'd blunt the hell out of a sword.

somehow push it into super hot magma..... O.o. Im not sure how you would get the prizes.... or how they would survie themselves. It's kinda sad that there is some players with better wc and ac than that thing too

That monster could also fix the economey a little... more diamonds = less asking prices for them.... and there still not easy to get.

I've heard on Crossfire that diamonds can actually be bought in bulk...quite frankly I don't think this is such a bad idea, I mean...if we were to make a mineral shop and have diamonds for around 250 plat (they're currently 500 between players) with an unlimited stock it would definately kill inflation and give ****s a chance that aren't rich enough to buy them in bulk from players to prepare weapons. Stone and iron could also be for sale in that shop for around 50 plat each or so...this would help prevent houses from going boom and people wasting their entire day button mashing in a mine >_> If they can't afford the extremely high price then they can mine but this can also cut down on inflation.

I like the idea of a ore shop.... But if diamonds were sold for 250 a pice... people could just bless 1 diamond sword +3 and sell it for 1.1k makeing a 850 plat.... which would **** the economy again.... but I like the part about iron, gold... even though people can make some through the alchemy spell, and coal.

*edit* I did fast math way to fast and typed 950 plat instead of 850 plat...

I like the sound of this killing inflation though I think it would only hurt inflation, not destroy it. I also don't think it should be too easy for players to prep a weapon with many slots. I don't think this idea would make it to a point where it's TOO (in my opinion) easy though. I think a reset should be done with big changes like this though. Older players would probably be able to buy diamonds easier, and they could prepare so many weapons...they would just get another leap of power.

Yes, in crossfire diamonds are easily bought, the prices are generally the same save for a thieves shop that charges about 80k for a skill scroll but has everything good in stock, you can get stat potions from many of the quests so everyone has perfect natural stats, almost everyone has good equipment from large ring shops, weapons shops, etc, people actually GIVE away potions, rings, relics, etc. Most of the beginner dungeons are like the ones that are on graal, and there are lots of higher leveled dungeons (you can easily gain 5+ levels at level 50 by cleaning them out) and the monsters usually drop really 'useless' equip (like +1-5 swords of bile or other gods) and the monsters still beat even the highest leveled people with the best resists (i have 70ish fire resists with 350ish hp and I got annihilated by a burning hands) plus since *most* everything is easy to get, everyone is friendly, something I highly doubt kingdoms will ever be like, but one can hope, can't they?

I made the thing up for the purpose of "No you can't kill this thing alone... Never... NEVER."

Also the wc and ac are bad because it's big and usually a big arm made of big rocks can easily be dodged...

I was being sarcastic... And it's obvious that you cant kill it yourself.... with all those resistances and 7500 hp.....Also with it's +20 regeneration rate

Hm... Diamonds aren't that hard to get after all, if you try hard enough... I'd rather vote for some use for the gems of great value... maybe splitting them into normal gems, or use them to improve rings (as it is possible in crossfire I think).

Yes you use the great value rings to upgrade, there is a recipe that uses great beauty and str/con/dex potions to upgrade RoF to RoC and rings of RoS would require flawless beauty and more potions, but since flawless are so rare, it's easier just to shop.

So, like, you have 1/1.000.000 change of finding flawless when you find gems?

I don't know what it would be, but there are around 8 shops with 3x as much stuff as the alchemy shop, all with just different kinds of gems, and usually only 1 of those shops will have a pile of 1-3 flawless (if at all). Comparing it to other items, I see more rings of combat or ancient magic than I do flawless gems :P
