creating a single image with multiple showimgs

Dunno if this is in the new engine or not, but it would be very nice and would help reduce certain lag. If you don't know what I mean, you would be able to combine multiple showimgs (or showpolys) into one image so that you're showing only one image at a time instead of like 10 - 50. (ooh run-on )

I once suggested something similar, where the client can paint to a canvas. Dunno if such a concept is redundant in the new engine.
