Online Time?.

Recently, i've been playing with NC, and i've just realized you can change the player's kill's, spar rate, and death's count. I was wondering, is it possible to change the online time?. I'd like to attempt to make a online time script. So is there a command?.

Variables yes, a var is not a command, use your mind and think of what they are, it's not that hard, and before you post about things, TRY to find out on your own

Don't be so hard on him, He's obviously new. The post complys with the rules. Only suggestion I would make is the search button. But isn't that broken?

I myself think these forums are more for asking for help on more complex things, not asking for variable names that you can figure out by a thing called common sense :|

I completely agree. He used to be a kickass dude when he was NAT Admin on Delteria. Now it seems he thinks he is better than everyone else.

I'm glad editting online time is disabled, kills and deaths are editable, which is bad enough. Soon there'll be no real way to show your "oldbie" status on servers.

Getting constantly harassed by people on aim does that to you. I am far from power hungry, people bugging have have gotten me to the point where I could CARE LESS about what powers I have, I don't think I'm better than anyone else because I tend to not care about what other people think of me since I don't care about them, if someone thinks they are better than me, good for them, I don't care, I know I used to be nicer, so don't give me any of that 'you've changed' crap, because I know I have, people need to stop using these forums, the GST, and whatever else as a crutch to learn how to script, because they will CONTINUE to use this crutch whenever they run into a problem, they will not try to learn things on their own, they will not use their own mind, they will not be learning how to script, they will be learning how to use someone as a resource. I think what Jagen is trying to say is along the lines of what I said in my "I don't do requests" thread. There comes a point where someone isn't just asking for help, but essentially doing a poor job with the intent of getting someone else to fix it for you.

Um, no, the main purpose of the GST team is to inspect server's scripts if they give you permission to and find inefficent scripts, nowhere in my job description does it say 'people may harass a team member on aim or any other instant messanger program to the point where they think people in general are a bunch of idiots'

I'll take PMs for requests as well, also the team will be working on developing template systems that we will install on servers if the manager wishes (some systems include: chat systems, hp systems, secure weapon damaging systems, etc)

It doesn't, but you just went through a big thing where it isn't the job of the GST. I would like to put in requests. But I can't fine one of the GST that aren't too busy, or simply wont do it.

Look, I aplogize for me and all the other GSTs, it is HARD to deal with people sometimes. I mean put it this way, scripting is like an art in a way, each scripter has a different way to do things. It is harder for her to help people with scripts sometimes because my attitude tends to be my style (I'm not talking about formatting) or no style, so it is literally an eyesore to see some peoples' scripts and I can't begin to help them because I don't know why they do things the way they did because in my opinion their way usually sucks. I was going to work on some template scripts such as a chat room system but unfortunatelly the scripts I was working on was on scripting dev which unixmad shut down with debug since Stefan is on vacation and hasn't put it back up even though I've asked him to. Just cause I said people may request things doesn't make it part of my job, it's just something I thought at the time would be nice and I didn't know what impact it would have on me.

I will admit the job has had a generally bad impact on me, and I personally think the GSTs have become more like a PWA since most of the work that seems to be done these days are helping playerworlds with playerworld related problems. I would help with those problems if the people contacted me kindly and professionally but I don't feel like crawling around on servers asking if there are any problems nor do I care that some of the members were asking for a raise in their admin powers because they said they did more work on things that weren't even related to their topic but yea, I don't care about that. Once I get the time to I'll fulfill the part of my job that I was thinking of before the team was established and I'll try to work on and release template scripts for servers to use (as long as someone doesn't try to claim credit and as long as the server gives credit where it is due)

I don't mind people asking me simple questions, but when it comes to scripting something for them or asking question after question I absolutelly refuse to help. Like if I give the answer, I don't want to be used as a crutch from now on and I don't want to be seen as the 'solution' to every problem

It would be really nice to have some template scripts like chat system and stuff, and would be even nicer if you could tell customizeable things about them, such as color, font, etc.

Some people have no knowledge about any language,what's the problem of help? There is no need to say "learn by yourself,don't ask for help",sometimes you can learn helping..

but everyone I've tried helping kept using me to solve every single problem of their's, I do not let people use me as a crutch, I already said that
