Wisdom Skill Experience

In the F2 skills menu, it says praying can gain you more wisdom level. I've tried praying to Govannon and just praying off-altar, and I gain nothing. I have came to realize the only way to gain it if you can't use spells is to cut down trees...so today I took about 3 hours doing this. Trusty ol' Daisetsu dug me up 300 seeds (it took a total of 400, I did the first 100 myself) for the price of 7500 platinum coins. The first 200 I decided to plant and chop down myself, the last 100 I got lazy and was willing to throw in an extra 2000 coins if he were to plant the seeds in Hotaru. He did so and in the attachment you can see what it was like. Anyway, can someone tell me exactly the "correct" way to gain wisdom EXP?

Hahaha, that's pretty funny. You gain wisdom exp by killing monsters with priest skills like cause wounds.

Which I have realized. Y'see, I started with 2 max grace, and somehow it dropped to 1. Levelling up in wisdom gains more max grace, so until I get enough grace for cause light wounds, I'm gonna have to do it the hard way, with my trusty lumber axe! By the way, does anyone know how much grace and spellpoints cause light wounds takes?

Gods grant spells even if you don't have enough grace. Like restoration costs 100 grace but I can cast it with like 30.

Yes, It just goes into the negatives. Then you pray to get it back up.

If you're desperate to level it, try this method.

Take someone with you on a map, and party. You pray for the whole time, and he kills. The experience you receive will go into the Wisdom level. Gain about one or two levels, and then you can use Cause Light Wounds.
