RP Event?

I was thinking, maybe some people just stop complaining about to little RPing and host a big RP event. I can... With 'lil prizes, for all people lvl.1-8, the prizes will be, umm... I would say a nice Gov+2 sword or naginata for those who don't have blessed weapons, and a talisman with spells for those who can't use magic. And maybe some prayers... Would you people like that?
And i need some tips on a story-line, a subject or such.

What's needed are people like you as EMs.

As an EM you'd have better resources, and you'd be able to hold better events.

You'd be able to give out better prizes, too!

However, I don't think that super shields, astonishing axes, and wonderous wands should be handed out. I think that most event prizes should vary only slightly from their average counterparts. A lot of event items out there are FAR too powerful. Red and blue dragon amulets, blood ring ..

Of course, there could always be some exceptions, like when anU gave away a ring of Ancient Magic in an event. You see, for that, there was a very good reason as to why it was given, so it was fine. The other very powerful things? Demon shield, dragon amulets .. how were they won? Tournaments. How very RPish ..

Event Masters should get a name more Roleplayish...you know to FIT INTO ROLEPLAYING!

Well, the EM could take on different roles depending on what nature the event were to be.

For example, if a village were ravaged, and there was to be a sole survivor begging for help in finding the captives .. the EM could RP that person.

Or, if a powerful Wizard has been away much longer than he said, his Apprentice might come looking for help. The EM could RP his Apprentice.

See what I'm getting at? The EM should be able to be flexible and play many roles. I don't think there should be ANY events that aren't RP. But that's my ideal opinion.

Yes, there should be Event Prices but not uber strong and not trough tournaments that always are won by the same, who then get even stronger! That's why i like for lvl.1-5 events very well, even due it's pretty unfair, but not THAT unfair. And, as ET you also have more respect and people listen to you better.

Maybe ET name should be OOC... As someone hosting an RP mass messaging:

would be weird

Well, maybe the Events Team shouldn't use Mass Messaging at all if it's an RP event. I mean, if a wounded apprentice comes wandering into town looking for help, the whole world isn't going to hear about it, only the people in town will.
Or maybe even better, don't give the Events Team a special tag, just have them start a roleplaying event at random, and only those who participate by choice because they want to take part in some RP will end up getting through it, not people that just rush over because they think they'll get a prize of some sort.
Just an idea though.

A very good idea, but then you should also make a list of all those who already have participated in one because else some people get chosen a lot...

Well, don't always go to the same town or whatnot. And at least this way, people who can't fight worth anything would still have a chance to participate and get something for being a decent RPer, not because they can run around really fast and press 'S' the most. But yeah, whoever took the job would have to be unbiased. Also, I say instead of making new super-powerful items, make event items be the same as some obtainable item in the game, except look different, so people know they're special. Also, we don't really need a special event position if a few up us get together and create a pool of platinum coins to be used for buying prizes to give out to people. You'd have to find a few trustworthy individuals though. But anyway, if you've got both in game items that you bought, plus an in-game item with a special look, you could do something like this:

::A young mage comes running into the town, panting, out of breath, tears and rips in his clothing, and a large cut out of his staff::
Mage: "Hello! Hello! Can anyone help me!? Please!"
Random Person: "****! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!111"
::The Mage blinks::
Mage: "Have I arrived in a foreign land? I do not understand their language"
Knight: "Hmm? You seem to be in distress! Is there anything I can do to assist you?"
Mage: "Ahh! You speak my language! Yes! I have just come from the caves...My master and I were training and he suddenly disappeared. Then, as I looked around for him, I was ambushed by a group of monsters. I barely escaped with my life. On my way out, I found this note..."
::Note: "My Apprentice, My time has come, I have lived my life, and it is time to pass on my knowledge. Head to the town and find someone who can help you." ::
Knight: "Shall we be on our way?"
Mage: "Aye."
::The Mage leads the Knight back to the cave. Inside, there is another note, and riddles which lead to other locations across the land. When they finally arrive at the final destination, a rival Mage awaits, ready to claim the Master's knowledge, the apprentice must face him, but cannot do so alone, he needs the backup of the Knight, however, the rival mage cannot be hit by weaponry, instead the Knight must use his shield to deflect spells away from the apprentice (RP of course.) while the apprentice concentrates on attacking. As a reward, there are two spellbooks, and the Master's Ring (Ring of Magic +2, I'm pretty sure they exist, if not, Magic +1). The apprentice thanks the Knight for his help, and gives him the items, (along with a talisman if the Knight does not have one.) ::

Yes, i also thought of some RP things.

There is no entry fee for this one, and i suggest all people get 5-10 plats at least.
Okay, we need a Police team, just random picked persons we ask.
Then there's a Pirate Crew recruiting, i think mass messaging. It says "Go to the hair shop in Bogonera (example), were all who want to join may come" Max people on each side is about, 6. The captain and police chief should be ET's, and also are arbiters.
We need 2 ships, one for pirates and one for police.
Then, the pirates are gonna RP raid some coast-village, Cove Town, Santerrain, as they aren't much visited (no disturbers and, RP wise, not to much people who can stop the pirates). But, they have been seen by the police. I suggest 2 police should be in the cargo of the ship to have it look like the police is jumping on the other deck. Now, there are some RP wise things i suggest:
*Pushes Police man in the water*
*Hides in crows nest*
and that sort of thing, so no fighting with killing eachother. This is making it able for all... All those pushed out of water are out, sort of. The pirates then sail to the island of Hotaru or near Tanarthia, and hide in the lagune. They set to land there, and each runs away and hides. The police must find their hiding places, and touch the pirates. They may not go out of their hiding places, but may move inside, but don't stupidly run away. Ofcourse, if someone hides in haunted house or something, police can call for help.

Winners:
Yes, that was the end round. Last found pirate gets a part of Pirate's Treasure, and whoever catches a pirate guy gets a small fee.
Also, the arbiters choose a "best RPer" from each side.

Pirate's Treasure
Ofcourse, there's some stuff left from the Pirate's Treasure, and the captain buried somewhere. The two winners get a hint on a scroll... It consists like : "I buried my treasure at that place near between this and that". Get your shovels and dig, for a little amount of plats and some diamonds, emeralds, saphhires, pearls etc.

Kingdom Way of Making Pallisades
This is something fun:
Let's say Samurai wants to make a Chinese Wall. Now, they go to bomboria and say to everyone: I give x plat for each for y amount of pallisades that are q strong.

And Butz, i can pay too, i have some strong maps and a lot of items, i also have 16 dievil's feet...

Ghost_Pirate, very nice book but maybe better for something like an old, hidden library, what would be a playerhouse, but no-one knows what house and where the key is...

And i will try to get a nice plate or chain mail.

Story:Rumors say of an warrior that has a tomb hidden somewhere. In this tomb it is said his treasures are hidden, and our quester must search! There are hints, i.e. scrolls. I think i'll start it with a scroll... Like, i'm in a shop and i'm this mysterious guy and then

and i drop the scroll.


And for the mage quest, i have:
Magic Bullet
Wand
and philospheral philosphocus or something

Also i have a speed+1 ring :o

He i just hold an event with Naginata of Ogma and speed+1 ring as prizes, it was very fun, and not the one that uselly win won!
It was nice and i'm gonna post about it.
