Subscription plans

I was looking at the Subscription plans and I noticed this offer.

v Graal Classic Membership + 12 months Gold Subscription + VIP Membership!
SPECIAL PACK! SAVE UP TO $51 !

Lifetime access to Classic servers & PlayerWorlds
12 months access to Graal Gold servers (Graal Kingdoms, Graal Bomy Moon)
12 months complete access to Communication Center (Forums)
Immediate update to VIP Member status! Find out the benefits here!

You offer this to First time subscribers but not to current subscribers. It doesnt seem right as in my opinion continual subscribers are being punished for wanting to keep the same account instead of having to make a completely new account just to get the better deal. I think the same offer should be given to those who want both VIP and Gold but not be punished and be forced to pay more. As a possible plan in the future I think it would be nice if we where offered this same option so we can keep our current accounts and not create a new one.

create a new account if you want that... what do you want them to do? refund everyone that paid extra? the sheer stupidity of some people

btw, the reason they did that is because they are trying to get more users...

You my friend are a complete *****. Did you even read what I wrote? If you did you definatly failed to comprehend.

I made specific statments in regards to making a new account. We shouldn't have to just to get the best deal it should be offered to every one. What I want was plainly said to offer us the same deal they are offering new accounts which any one can do it just cuts out and annoying and unneccessary process of having two accounts or more. No where did I make any mention of past accounts or any sort of refund. This is a plan for the "Future" as in something to be implemented. Here is some advice to live by

Read->Think

You where blessed with a brain please use it.

Yes the idea being. New people sign up. They have VIP and Gold, so they have everything, they like it enough, they will continue to re-upgrade.

Yes they continue to re-upgrade by making new accounts. Which only takes up more resources. No one is going to spend an extra 14 dollars to upgrade vip and gold. They're just going to make a whole new account and get the better deal now they have 2 accounts. One classic one gold. What do you think they're going to do with the extra classic account? If it was me I would give it to a friend. After all its not account sharing since you gave the account to them. All that is happening currently is Graal is losing more money because of the way its set up.

VIP isn't a fully-integrated option yet because VIP doesn't do anything yet. Remember? Until further notice it's just Gold?

I regret getting VIP, as we get nothing but a corny tag.

Did they actually say it would only be gold for a while when the first offered VIP?

I guess it's gold with weird tag.

But since i'ts cheaper than gold it's alright....... but they really should have that on the website.

They don't say it on the website for the obvious reason that it'd hurt profits. If Graal's to stay alive, it needs money.

And yes, there was an announcement a week or two after VIP was introduced that, until we got enough VIP content to justify its existance, VIPs would be given full Gold access.

Umm I guess I have double Gold then since I have both Gold and VIP on the same account.

Yes, but I have brought something, which I have not gotten. I have paid for something, and got something else I didn't want. They should have stated at the time, that if you have Gold its not worth the bother for <x> months.

wait a sec... ok, I see why they put up the graal vip thingy when they did before they actualy did anything worthwihle for it...

but how does cheating new players make them want to re-subscribe?

Also, can't you just buy more time for an existing account? I know I've re-upgraded mine a few times, and I still have the same account name.

You can just buy more time for an existing account, it's called resubscribing.

It's not screwing the players. VIP grants exactly what it claims to grant, which is early access to stuff as it's developed (see - GuildCP). Anyone who expected more from it should file a complaint against their own overly optimistic imagination. There will be more to it (Stefan's hinting at May 1), but not yet.

Tyhm, your cool and all but you are crazy.

VIP does not grant everything in claims. Go read what it claims in the subscription center and explain how we've been given it already.

(see - GuildCP) well of course, it is the *only example. And it's not even finished.

Right. What else has come out that's new? Graal3d's still under development...in order to cry foul that you didn't get early access to stuff, stuff must have been released that you SHOULD have been given early access to.

Well, it would help to make the early access to stuff worth money... I should make a company and let people pay to test my things in a subscription like way, and not make anything...

graalonline seems to have a great deficit in productivity... I think they should be focusing more on a single project rather do a vast horizon of things at a slow pace...

Sorry to burst your bubble but I'd rather Stefan take his time to make sure most of the bugs are taken care of before even the BETA release. You don't seem to be able to grasp the concept that it does take time to build software.

To the main topic at hand, I agree, newer players don't have much to lose, they can just create a new account, but for me, if I do that, I lose a LOT of things, but yes, there is a loophole (I guess you could call it that) if a newer player gets an account with that, he/she will do stuff on the servers, and possibly make a lot of progress too, thus, when it's time to choose reupgrade or make a new account for less, they'll reupgrade for normal price.

But Yoshi, continually working on several projects at one time makes said projects more suseptible (sp) to errors. Code can get mixed around and what not. It is more logical to work on one (or maybe two at the most) thing at a time, work out all the kinks, and then focus on something new. Stefan's doing too much at one time and that's why nothing gets done. It's simply not feasible in my eyes to work on G2K2, Graal 3.0, Graal 3D, and whatever else he's doing all at the same time and tell everyone "the near future this will be out" and it never actually gets completed.

As a priviledged member, you get to enjoy the following benefits:

* Access a special Forum to get Graal development news direct from our Dev Team. Suggest ideas and features that you'd like to see in future releases of Graal.
* Participate in testing pre-release Graal technology. We will open Graal 3D for VIP Preview early next year! What is a Preview?
* Apply for a PlayerWorld to develop your own virtual world and community. This is subject to terms and conditions, as well as separate pricing. We will announce details soon.
#1 access to a special forum? Not given.

#2. I guess I can grant they have done that. But this *early part is fading fast.

#3. Apparently it's coming, but it had better be VIP only as it implies.

That is not everything Tyhm, partial sure. But they should change what it says in the subscription center.
