Look at what levels are on here for ideas, then look how they are made, then look at ratings and comments to see whats good and whats not!

Thats what I did before my level got deleted. I did the water thing and since I couldn't make a good house I just had to stick with the normal house and I used the mushrooms a little bit and the trees.

Spark is right but you can try new things that the never did before. Thats what I tryed to do. But my level got deleted. (Look at my thread)

Also good luck on making good levels. Graal needs more of these people.

Give color to the level, tiling is important....

Dont use normal houses on tileset, edit the houses more, make it look intresting.

Add trees to outside levels (almost always), cliffs are good water, use dirt paths.

Street paths are for citys, (not forest citys).

The correct answer is dont use predefiend tiles. Or if you do as little as possible. Try to see the tiles as more than what they are intended for. Try to look at them as what they could be. An easy way I have of starting is drawing a picture of what I want then trying to find the tiles that match my drawing.

no, horrible actually.

1. u used the basic inside house outline, WAY overdone a long time ago, and not origional.
2. ur paths on ur water are straight, mix em up a little...not just straight lines

like the other people said, juss look at our levels..well, the good ones anyway...and go from there..

Your level is completely predefined objects. Also I dont recommend using grass tiles indoors. Unless perhaps you've been making levels for a while. But as for water when doing water you might consider putting in a wave or two but not go overkill with them.

looks good for a start level but you need to put ripples in the water and more details...and ps: it looks like a classic level you need to use different house tiles

Ok this is firts level of yours so its not too bad! Look at my screenshots, instead of saying the bad main thing, i have pointed it out. On the left is your pool, on right is how it should be done...

Main problem with this level, is theres nothing to it, there isnt much point in that house with that water, make it intresting if you can.

Whats wrong with predefined tiles? I use them all the time. It makes finding tiles easier but I dont leave them there without editing them to make them look nice. I also use Choose a Tile to check out tiles not in there. I make good levels or atlest good enough to get Co-Levels Admin and I dont know what I am now. So they are good just change them around so they dont look as plain.
