Experience/Stats

Ok, here is a idea...lets say there is a max level (25 I think thats it o.0) Well anyway say you get to level 25 and theres no where else to go but down, right? Wrong. It would be nice if there was a system where you could go get experience and then sell the experience to a certain NPC in exchange for stats such as dex,charm,str,etc. And even exchange it to upgrade your weapons,armor,etc. Just another idea from me. =P

there is not limit to what level you can get to is what stefan said, so this would be pointless, and there would be someone who can find a way to easily get there stats and stuff to the max.

Well

Yes, there will be people with maxed stats, BY GETTING EXP, like I just said see ^. And Stefan could make it so there is a limit if he and the players like the system.

I can name about 4 other MMORPG's that use that system, don't tell me it wouldnt work.

And what about the bugs that give you insane experience? People at level 15 who used those bugs can just max out their stats, which probably doesn't matter to them since they didn't work for it anyway.

Lol..

I had worked on the 4 RPG's and had introduced to them the system of selling experience. And about the level 15 thing, if level 15 is the max level then yes they can do that. Same if leve 25 is the max level. Also, it would take forever to get 25? I know games where it would literally take you years to get to the max level. So 25 isnt too hard.

Those games, I would not play.

I have played many other MMORPGS and it wouldn't take YEARS.
Maybe 1 month to get to the max level.
Thats if you hunt mad.
We don't wan't that idea here, it just wouldn't work.

Fine, then how do you suggest the issue of "You'll never be as strong than Shrimpie because Shrimpie rerolled until they had near-20s in everything" be handled? Or are you content with the official policy be "Don't like your stats? Reroll!"

I think the max level thing and selling exp is pretty stupid.

on the other hand, stats do need a way to be raised, maby rare potions in a dungeon or something but the potion is permentant?

also, if you don't like your stats, then maby you should re role, after all thats how you have control of your starting chatacter. perfect stats are not out of your hands unless you have a few hours to blow.

The whole point of stats is for things to be advanced. Pretty soon, you are going to have people with 20 in all their stats. A barbarian is not going to be a barbarian anymore if they have 20 charm, 20 int, 20 power, etc. The whole reason why there are classes is because people have to have some advantages and disadvantages.

You do not think the system will work? You have to understand, on all 4 of them MMORPG's there are thousands and thousands of people who play them. And they love the system. So I am saying, it might just bring more people on and it will be more exciting, give us some more goals, you know?

I agree there needs to be some way of changing stats, but nto this 'selling system' it would be dumb, and the permanent potions wouldnt be good liek you said because of barbs with 20 Int X_x. I think maybe alchemists should be able to make potions and you should be abel to find them like its been said allready. But 1, each class would get the stats differently, it say a barb used the Int potion, his Int would maybe go up 0.5 or 0.25, and he would need other potions to get it up 1 full stat. and 2, the things needed to make the potions should be VERY rare and you would need alot of stuff, so alchemists couldnt just pump them out, alchemists would be lucky to be able to make 1, and, the potions should be even rarer out of monsters.

Wiht the reroll system... i think it needs to be set up like, if you add to one stat, it takes away form another (like a circle in a circle, and when you move the circle inside it would move closer to a stat, and farther away on the one on the other side, and stats like strength and Inteligence would be opposite each other), i thing restarting to reroll your stats is dumb, and having some rolls alot better than some other rolls (in every thing) is dumb too.

Another maybe stat raising thing is as you move up levels, your stats will go up (like if you go from level 1 mental, to level 2 mental, your Intelligence stat might go up 1, but wouldnt go up every level gained). This might work, i didnt really thing about it, and im sure someone else can find a fault.

Note: How the hell would anyone get to level 25 with the current exp leveling system - Level 25=16777216000 exp, like really.
