Bomy Gully Race Record

The Gully Race track (Bogenera->Highlands sea)
has been enhanced, the record time is now
very precise and cannot be cheated with lag
(I hope it :-)

What I want to know is if 'normal' players
should be able to start it by saying
'start'. You will only be able to restart it
if the last race is older than record+30 seconds
and at least 2 players say 'start'. If a member
of the Events Team is near then only Events
Team can start it. Would that make the
Gully race track more fun?
If you have more ideas then please let me
know. I thought of integrating it into some
sort of quest, where you must beat a special
time at each of the race tracks (gully1, gully2,
grotto?) to get an item.

That sounds like a good idea.

The gully race quest idea sounds good. Perhaps something like a speed enchancing item for on land for bomies who win the race?

I found a bug, When you are paused, and you get a life from a bed or someone laying it on you it unpauses you. I paused while someone pked me and he layed a life on me and I unpaused : /

Yes, that would be great (the improvementand the quest).
However, the Grotto track needs to be fixed. After I sent the race update to you, you widened the links and sometimes it causes bomys to bounce back into levels. The links need to be back to the same width as they were when I sent that update to you.
And right now, I can't fix it, because my harddrive crashed and I'm waiting for a new one to get here.

I think that might have been implemented because everyone complained about lamers who just went up to a bed and paused in it when they were low on health.

I had to make the links bigger because
otherwise bomys are bouncing back
(with the original links they don't go into
the links at all). It is still happening, don't know exactly
how to solve it, but I will spend some time
on fixing it sometime soon

Change the destination position, so that they aren't that close to the link after they go through it. That's what I was going to do before my harddrive crashed permanently.

Also their is this bug where if you dont move for like 5 seconds and someone trys hitting you with their sword it wont work. If you come online I can show ya.

I think that you should let the Bomy Admin and Asst. Bomy Admin to do ultimately. I mean it's a bit cheap if the head man of Bomys can't even start a simple race when the Events team gets to.

That's a good thing, IcePick. bomys are supposed to be protected since they aren't as fast. That's why they've got shells.

yeah, when I was a bomy that happened occasionally.

I suggest the racetrack be coded so when three or more Bomys are at the starting line, it begins, when 3 or more Bomys pass the finish line, it ends and all Bomys on the track warp off the track.

Tricky, but doable, and very spiffy.
Plus, the Bomys could have to pay 5 gelats to enter the starting box, and recieve the jackpot if they win....^_~
