New 2001 Release! Muskets!

Well, not full on muskets.

The musket arena is finished and has been released; it's near football.

Currently there are a few bugs in the arena level that are being fixed by Excalibur. If you come across any other bugs, just report them to staff and they'll be fixed as soon as possible.

I have to converse with the musket staff, because I hope to make the musket a buildable item, which will require many separate jobs and items to create, and variations of the musket, and ammo creation and such.

But we'll have to see.

For now, go to the arena (again, it's near football), and go have some fun.

Make sure to bring an Events Team member along, though!

Many thanks to Karsh and Cheetos for making it, Jagen for making it a gmap and fixing bugs, Tseng for testing it, and of course me, for just being there always on their back.

Quite laggy with alot of people in it though

Pretty fun, if you ask me. But they are as slow as mollassas. I think you should speed em up a tiny bit. But then again, that's just me.

Uh? A musket is an old type of gun. The guns in the area are muskets. What's dumb about that?

I like it slower, just cause it makes you hafta play more strategic other than accidently getting in the way of someone and take damage no matter what, with it being slow it gives to a chance to dodge.

Yes.. that was our plan (sort of).. get the arena out for people to have fun with for now, so nobody can go around crying about staff abuse ;-x

I had a feeling you'd want the ammo to be created.. that shouldn't be too hard, same with making the gun. We'll just need some ganis for it all, nice levels *glares at Karsh and Excalibur*

I've tried speeding it up.. but something always screws up when I try.. we've thought about making it take advantage of using z values.. but its a lot harder to shoot someone like that, and the rounds in the arena are long enough as it is. We'll probably raise the damage of them later.

Possably make diffrent types of matches, teams, one hit kill, last man standing, CF style (capture the flag, bring it back without gettting hit. If you do, it goes back to the opposite teams section. :O

maybe.. but we're gonna make the musket an all-around weapon first :X

Yeah. But plans are that you can't use a musket with a sword, so you hafta stick to kung fu if you wanna shoot things with a big gun. =O

yeah like i have seen someone make a LEET gani where you go allout crazy with a sword, i think your FINAL move you learn at 200 kills or something should be liek a uber super slash all over the place move, because kung-fu hos get GUNS :O

You don't get enough ammo-3 shots and you have to reload.
I've been able to get a maximum of about 5 shots..
but most of the time even when I reload more than once I still have only 3 shots.

But I lagged like a bish so eh..

It was very l33t and fun though...

But yes, there does need to be a GOOD bomberman minigame.

kamuii, I think it was malak who had the idea, i seem to remember him trying to do something with a musket, not sure if he even got it close to being as far as an event though

With everyone saying a musket only fires one ball before reloading, think, this is GRAAL. Swords should kill in one hit, but do they? Nope. So basicly, Graal is unrealistic, but we CAN make it be 1 shot, but it might not be as fun, for the event at least.

This is a good game.I have recently played muskets.Its fun and has some of the best GFX,Creativity,and Gani I have ever seen.Thumbs up to the team that made muskets.

P.S-Rabid is a good manager of g2k1

Muskets firing 1 shot? I don't care if its because its general use, that would render muskets USELESS.
They're incredibly hard to hit with, and they take a long time to reload.
If muskets have only 1 shot, they'd only be used for the first 5 minutes they came out..
