Wrongly Reset on Graal2002

I was just reset on Graal2002. Not by a bug like it had happened to me last time, but by Staff. Er1c reset me. He gave me no warning, he did not attempt to talk to me about why he thought I should be reset either.

I got an admin message saying 'You are being reset for abusing bugs'. And, I was reset.

Now, this is ridiculus, I swear I had not abused any bugs, and if I did, I did not do it knowingly, so I pmed him after reconnecting to my freshly reset account. I asked him why he had reset me.
He replied:

first of all, reading/identifying/whatever scrolls in stores after
making them reset by casting a spell

also you got items for free somehow and sold them, because
there is no possible way that you could have 2303 platinum coins
with the onlinetime you have

So, I explained to him that I did not have the ability to read or identify scrolls in shops, since I was an illiterite Barbarian, and I couldn't cast spells either. So, obviously that accusation was incorrect. I have no idea where he got that idea either.

I then told him how someone gave me 3000 platinum coins, I do not know whether they abused bugs to get it, or not. But I got them fairly, without doing anything wrong. The coin logs, or whatever can be checked to verify this.

I also told him how he could have atleast removed them if they were from some bug, instead of reseting my Level 4 Barbarian, which took me over 40 hours to get to where it was.

He then logged off, I don't know if this is being fixed or not. I doubt it. But, getting reset on some staff members whim is greatly unfair, and should never happen. Christ, I want everything I lost back.

He gave me 3000.

He said he had a lot more. I don't know why I should be reset for him giving me this money. :/

I only have about 60 platinum coins.
Got like 80% from selling minerals.
I get 12 platinum coins for the root that the battle potatoe drops though.

Er1c shouldn't be touching peoples accounts, it's not his job.

ohi

And 3000 platinum coins is a bit odd.
I mined today untill my hunger was down to about 300 and it started at about 950 and I only managed to get about 50 plat worth of coins.

They should have some small mini quests for money.
Like delivering something for someone to another person in another town.
Clearing a dungeon of the baddies in it for the villagers in a mining town (then they can open a mine on main for people who have completed the quest).

Maybe a small carnival? With a few people chosen to work one or two games to play for small amounts of money.

He reset me months ago for "abusing a bug". Instead of talking to me or just simply deleting the new npcs that I found during one of THEIR bugs that warped me to new main he reset my whold damn account. I thought this had been solved months ago. Er1c and Pir do not need that kind of power. They should not be reseting and banning people's accounts. It doesn't matter how he got 3kpp, maybe someone DID give it to him, and if someone did then it's his. Why the hell is Er1c checking people's inventory's instead of developing and fixing bugs? They can't reset the npc server...but they sure as hell can reset your account to screw you over...good job Graal 2k2 staff, you have earned many fans.

i doesn't matter if you received the money

either you or the other person exploited some kind of bug, one way or another

sure he shouldn't reset the entire account with asking you and letting you explain yourself, he could've just taken away the 3000 plat's

but what you gonna do now?

This is alpha. You're going to get reset many times throughout the course of testing. I've been reset twice myself already, so just be prepared.

Agh, I don't want to start over again.

Unless everyone else is reset as well, it's just not fair.

And, about that money. He said he found thousands in the sea, and used his boat to get it. That might explain how he got so much, and why he didn't really mind giving me 3000.

Neonight:

Sure. It may be uncommon now, but on Graal2001, giving away 3,000 gralats now is no big deal.

My respect for Er1c is going way way down... I've seen 4 complaints on the forums from him resetting people for no reason and without talking to them. I'm sure there's more coming.

Three reasons Neonight does not play Graal2002:

1.) It's simply too laggy for modem users. I don't care how much RAM you have or how fast your computer is, a modem doesn't cut it for Graal2002.

2.) PKers. There's one in every level. Period.

3.) I'd probably be reset as soon as I logged on the server.

I play with a 56k modem, and the only times I lag are when its the NPC Server's fault. 2k2 actually plays faster for me than 2k1, oddly enough.

Both for the same reason, I got a semi-explination...
I posted about it on the bugs cause I wasn't sure where else to post it...my story is a bit more...complex.

What you are saying is only partially true... someone I reset had well over 2300 platinum coins... Don't you think that's a little unfair to the players who are actually working to get their experiance and coins?

I do. I find it very unfair. If you find a bug, you shouldn't exploit it just so you can survive or be rich and brag about it. It off sets everything.

Staff can allow players to use the boats, once the staff person uses it first.

Some staff have sold boats by doing this.
