Maloria - Explaining things

Ok, I know we have bugs and errors... But we are trying to fix them up as soon as possible... The major problem is the LAG because of too many people...
About Dino Valley stuff... To who does not know, I worked there and I was Admin... ALL the stuff that you see on Maloria from there were made by ME... I did all that levels and scripts so please stop with the complaints about DV stuff...

I know, we are trying to fix everything, dont worry, we will give more informations about the nations and all, and we will hire people as soon as we fix the bugs and etc...

You people only put here on forums the weak points... ONLY
We have weak points like spar arenas and etc, but which server does not have at least 1 weak point??
Just give us a break and time to fix everything...
Im sure you wont get disapointed...

fixing that entire server up would take a year or two, unless you delete the whole thing and start over. Maloria was doomed from the second it was put online.

The LAG is because of scripts running infinite loops that should've been fixed before you went public.

If you have many weak points which you are going to fix, then WHAT in the world were you doing all that time as a private server and WHY did Hawk say it was such a remarkable server and give it a near perfect score?

Yes but some of them got screwed with the lag... Anyway, it was everything working fine until we released... But we got only a few bugs... And we are almost done with them

Not to be judgemental, but you have CLIENTSIDE BADDIES, there are putexplosions that lag like crap, and so many people die with your firesnake bosses that they restart themselves a hundred times and are UNKILLABLE.

unfortunately the only power I have NPC related is NC, I have NO ftp so I CANT check anything for bugs

Good lord, this will be the THIRD PW Geo founds, and the third one he is single handely going to **** up.

The Dino Valley levels were ****, except the graphics, I could have slapped together a server like that within weeks if I used old PW levels.

Edit: If your levels are from Dino valley, some scripts from TDK, levels from Tier'Dal, is Maloria just bastard child of three server failures put together?

Well.. my immediate response was that it looked okay. The menu system worked fairly well (took a while to load the images, though) and it started up fine. No lag, and the Ring System has a clearish GUI. All good. Then I stepped outside.

The first thing that struck me was the dirt. Granted, dirt can be orange, but somehow it doesn't seem to fit with the trees, shrubs and grass they use. I shrugged this off as a little blip (it is a new server, after all) and went exploring some more.

Then I found the water... It's SO blue! In fact it's glaringly blue. Nasty to look at, in my opinion. So I walked away from the shore and looked around again.

Pick up the custom tileset bushes (which I thought looked quite good), what d'ya see? As if by magic, you're holding a normal Graal bush. replaceani carry,mal_carry; and replaceani carrystill,mal_carrystill; would sort that out. In fact, it's probably easier, but I think that'd fix it. At least it would if they made mal_carry and mal_carrystill ganis. =P

That's all the bad points I could find. Conclusion: A little fixing up wouldn't hurt Maloria too much.

They only showed us a couple screenshots. I honestly don't mind the dirt, but the trees, bushes and fences look like they came from paper mario. And the quests are laughable. They can be done in 3 minutes

I would suggest you not use NPCs ment for a Non-NPCs server world on a NPCs server world. An no, sticking //#CLIENTSIDE on everything does NOT help.

Well to be honest, the tileset is ugly, there are lots of errors, extreme lag which isnt exactly your fault and the thundergod quest is terribly glitched.....

Other then that I like the ideas, the money making systems are well done, you have a GREAT staff (Im the #1 Binary Crash fan )
So stay with it and work on the errors and Youll get far. Good job Maloria team.

The server was just released to the public, I am sure they will have things fixed up and give the people what they want. It takes time

I like the tileset, I am just sick of seeing the same default tileset on every server. It just makes the servers no different in my view.

If you guys want to talk about levels and NPCs, dont get me started on Classic.

No is script is from TDK, and the levels from Dino Valley were made by ME, we are almost done with the bugs of the quests and many of the bugs were fixed after Hawk deleted the server...
Maloria has no level from Tier'Dal too...
Sorry for all that happened but now Maloria will only improve to be better and better, even if it's not to you guys yet... But which playerworld does not have bugs when it comes out?? It's pratically normal...
And we didn't have so much time to fix the NPCs while we were private... We fixed everything in 2 weeks, and once again I will say: everything was working FINE until the release... Stefan saw it himself...
Ok but this is not the point, sorry for the problems of Maloria, I'm not being a dumb saying: OH MY SERVER ROX!!! ITS THE BEST!!! because it has bugs yet... And, please keep your eyes on Maloria, because now, Maloria will ONLY improve

Since you have bugs and errors it would of been nice not to bug stefan to get Maloria put up from a private server to a real one. When you all knew it wasn't fully ready to do so. That is why stefan put it as a private so you all can fix those errors and get it as flawless as you could.

That is why stefan put it as a private so you all can fix those errors and get it as flawless as you could.

good points but it is also hard to test some things without a great ammount of players, I didn't think any of the staff expected maloria to have over 100 people, and since we didnt have that ammount when testing, some unseen errors did show up

Haha, lies. THe tailor comes from Tier'Dal, the mining comes from TDK. I am sure if I bothered going on the server more I could find a ton more stuff from those respective servers.

Edit: By the way, your quests are dumb. I read a sign and it said something like "WELCOME TO THE HELL" which makes absolutely no sense, and I beat that level and nothing happened. Not that the quest took me longer than 3 minutes, but was I supposed to get a reward?

If you had tested the server before it was released you wouldn't be here saying these things... I will say again: the server was working completely FINE before we got released...
We didn't have the opurtunity to test it with alot of players... Krynn will have bugs when it comes out too, so will Oasis...
