Baking?

Who thinks baking would be a good idea?

It doesn't necessarily have to be a money-making skill, but it would be fun. You know, get ingrediants, mix them together, bake them, and get a food product.

Perhaps you could feed it to your bomy pet and it would stay tamer longer?

Good idea but this whole bomy issue is on kind of standstill because NO ONE knows exactly how its going to work.

Yes. It would make a very good addition to feeding your Pets. Maybe, you could make it you can take care of Wild Bomys but they are not yours and if you play with them alot and stuff they start to follow you some places and then he will do the "Heart Emotion" thing alot. Then he will be yours but it would take alot of time for him to like you. You could also make a whistle kind of thing to where they come walking to you, you pet them, feed them, then they walk of when you are done.

They would be just normal pets of yours but have the same things as the Wild. But they would follow you everywhere and you wouldnt have to whistle. But you would still have to feed them, ect.

People stop getting pet bomies involved in everything. There should be fun for the people WITHOUT them.

I don't know... It doesn't really sound like a BAD idea but I think its usefullness is kinda limited... but it can be expanded a little... how about some of these ideas?

Maybe we can have baking contests (events)?

As you bake, more and more your baking skill will slowly go up and you'll create better and better goods? (this could be the start of a massive skill system)?

What you bake can be stored in your items and eaten at a later time to refill health? (or to feed to your pets)?

Each Kingdom can have their own bakers

They can create banquets for the King and stuff?

You could use apples and create apple bread, etc

So I guess yeah it could be used to do many things but the usefullness of those things are questionable

All these ideas keep twisting so much that they wouldn't be fun anymore. Baking should be like you go to the baking place, make stuff with the ingredients there, and serve it to the NPC customers. They pay you on how they like it and if you give them the same thing over and over the amount they pay you decreases. It would be a fun new way to make money.

What about you have to buy/find/obtain ingredients to make stuff.

they should make more things like growing the apple tree to get stuff and there should be a shop for things that cant be grown.

Yes. While baking has it's limits, it COULD heal hit points. Then more people would want to buy them. (The ones that are the easiest to produce heal less while the toughest ones to produce heal more.)

It was intended to be a fun thing though, just to keep yourself entertained. And I like the idea of also using farming to get certain ingrediants for other food items.

Fai, your idea is good, but I just wanted it to be a fun thing. Not a money making thing. Although, I will consider adding a way to make you recieve money for food.

Speaking of potions I think we really need a potion system. We need bottles dangit, I love bottles! We can carry potions in them, catch bugs (there could be a shop that buys butterflies and pays extra for rare ones), all sorts of things

ok then mr i disagree with everything (fai)

how about this

you go to the bakery and go in a kitchen and theres rows of different ingredients and you pick which ones you want up (like you pick up bushes) and throw them into a bowl and depending what and how much you put in you get different things but if you dont put things in that can make something nothing happens and you have to empty the bowl.

You can also pick up the bowl and put it in the over/ microwave/ freezer

When youve finished and made something you can either bin it if you dont want it or it goes into your inventory.

While in your inventory you can then eat it or sell it.

Use gifs as freezer/microwave/oven cause if you want to freeze something putting ice cream on a stove wont realy help.

Your baking idea is not bad, but after a while everyone will know the exact amounts that you need for certain items and it might become too easy. I don't know, it depends on how this is all implemented I guess.

I don't like the microwave thing, but we can probably have stoves (the old fashioned kind made out of brick) and maybe an icebox or something of some sort, but not anything conventional

Graal needs fun things. Like... being able to carry other players. And other things like that. Baking would be fun. But it would probably be twisted into another Bomy or RP involved thing.

Yeah. They would probably put it up as that so only "Chef _____ (_______)" can bake.
