Watch your arrow(s) fly away :D

Since setfocus has been activated, I have created something similar to a fly-by-wire projectile...really all it is a camera for the arrow (ie. you watch the arrow fly in the direction it is flying)

You can even move too...it has some bugs that I am trying to work out...I will later add controls so that you can move it around

Woah very cool!
I suggest making some kind of remote control helper guy, who can move around remotely and it helps you...would make for some very interesting quests. For instace, a rope across a cliff which is to thin for you to get across, and a switch is on the other side. You get your helper to go across and hit the switch and you continue on...

Or, a hole to small to go through, so get your helper. Just a few ideas ;-)

Funny, although I hate Graal2001 v.2.12 (Graal2002 preview version) for this, setfocus looks pretty cool. I noticed one thing, if the arrow flies off the bottom of the screen, the camera stays down there. Apart from that, well done!

how come youre so negative about everything? You can do the same thing without setfocuse by moving the player and hiding them. Maybe he needed it for g2k1 or g2k2....

All I can say is this;

If Stefan did not want any other people to use the setfocus command then he wouldn't of put the command into the regular Graal.exe. He would've only put it in the NewWorld.exe program. You can't ***** at him for releasing something, hell he makes the game so he is entitled to do whatever he wants with it. So stop whining about it.

Actually, he had told us he wouldn't release it without our permission, but most of the New World commands have been in the regular exe for some time, just not working. It's too hard for Stefan to work on two separate exe's at the same time, so New World and g2k2 have the same exe, as g2k1 and New World had the same exe for a while. (but setfocus, among others, was disabled in the public exe)

I'm just mad because he needed to use it to make something work in g2k2, but didn't ask/tell us first, nor explain what he needed it for. I'm sure none of our team would have had any problem whatsoever had we simply been asked.

You shouldn't have any problems with it even though he didn't ask. Did you make the program? No. Did you take the time out of your life to make an online RPG game that was a level editor in it? No. None of the New World staff should be mad at all. Even if he did say/promise he wouldn't release it. You guys don't make the ****, you just use it and your scripting abilities to make it work good.

IDIOTS! NewWorld is working very hard, the hardest among all in graal in fact, to bring a great game into the world. Yet you people are to ignorant, lacking common sense. They are creating the future of graal, and hard at work, and all EVERYONE does is complain about it. They have a right to be told when Stefan does something like this, because maybe Stefan made the EXE, but he would be nothing without the talented VOLUNTEER people who are working for him. The most of important of those people are the ones in NewWorld.

I don't want to get into an argument on here, it's a waste of good time, but you seem to be missing the fact that without the players there would be no game. You can't just made a level editor and scripting language. Sure, that's good and all, but without anything else you have no game, and that's where New World Staff, among many others who work hard, come in.

We are making the next generation of graal for Stefan and Unixmad. We expect respect from them just as they expect respect from us. We're working for each other. We are making a game they will make money off of, and they're giving us the tools to do what we want. If that respect is lost, then what's left?

As long as setfocus remains a P2P command it should be fine ... although it was meant for NW only.
