All of the stuff older then a month gets deleted when someone clears the baskets.. I just cleared them yesterday lol... I clear them once every few days to reduce the ammount of npcs on the levels.

No one gets the items, it is good they are deleted as it makes the economy more stable.. if everyone got the items they would be worth nothing.. the fewer there are, the more they cost, so there is actually value in them instead of having to sell the stuff for less then you would if you sold to npcs, or sell it less then you bought it for.

May be we can change it so that the items in the
basket are invisible and the basket itself gets
a different image when filled, so reducing the lag
