An idea.

Instead of having to download the new version manually, why not have something in the options where you can make it automatically check for updates when logging on and if it finds a new version it downloads, installs, and restarts graal. It'd make lazy people happier. :-P

That would lag some of the slower people if it checked for updates on start-up. Hmm... I don't think anybody is THAT lazy.. maybe they shouldn't be playing graal at all then. O_o

Yes whenever we want to know about a new version we are usually informed by stefan or we read it on the Graal website. I dont think we need to have Graal tell us when there is a update. Stefan is a very busy person and i dont think he would have time to add a feature like that which would be non useful

Dude...NOT WHEN THEY LOG ONTO A SERVER, when it logs in and downloads the server list it could check for updates, that wouldn't cause lag...

Well, I wouldn't use it... it would be pointless. You could easily just find out if there is an update from the Graal2001 website.

I wouldnt use it either, It is just as easy to go to the site, but alas people are becoming more lazy everyday, they have their milk and cereal already mixed, soon they won't even have to wipe their own ass. :/

Yes but look at it, the maker of this is talking about laziness... he probably was a little to lazy to think about which forum it should go in.. so it isn't his fault

hmm...maybe a version of setup.exe is included in /graal2001 folder, and instead, it's called "update.exe" and the only difference is, it only has two of the windows, the list of updates available, and the downloading window, it automatically uses the directory it's in (since it's in /graal2001), it automatically connects to graalonline.com (i have yet to see any other mirrors), and it doesn't put the icons on since you should already have them

also, there is a button that you press on graal.exe (See Attached) which will automatically load this program for you and close graal, since graal reloads when installation is done, you can update and play again in a few seconds
