Bravo Online: New Update Information

Hi Folks:

I have a few things to say:

1) Regarding reverting to a free server and bringing back Old Bravo: I tried. I had everything set to go, I had permission to use the old levels, and then I was shot down. Permission to use the old levels was revoked from me. If you want to know why, ask CloudX. I cannot say, I promised him I would not.

2) Being that we are staying P2P, I will be reuploading the new overworld. I apologize for getting everyone's hopes up, as I said, I had everything ready, the server and NPCServer were completely cleared out, and then, when seeking final confirmation of my permission to use the levels, I was told I could not. I tried, and I'm sorry. I know a lot of people are going to me upset with me about this, but there is nothing I can do, unless you all can convince RacoonDog, CloudX, and Zeth to let us use the old levels on Bravo.

3) The new overworld will be updating frequently over the next few weeks. Since I have cleared everything out, we have plenty of space for things like head submissions, sword/shield submissions, body sumbissions, and last but not least: house submissions. As I said before, here are the guidelines for submitting houses:
:........................: 1) There are to be no NPC weapons in the house that are not OK'ed by me. (This does not include warp rings, if you would like to have a warp ring to your house, that is perfectly fine.) The only time I will give permission for NPC weapons is if there is a quest in the house that is worthy of an NPC weapon as a reward. Please note that NPC weapons do not consist of weapons the simply create explosions.
:........................: 2) There are to be minimal tiling errors in the house. (Tile errors do not automatically disqualify your house, but it is best to not have too many.) Be creative! If you find a spot that is difficult to work with, find an imaginative way to fix it.
:........................: 3) If your house meets these criteria, please send it to me at [email protected] .

4) Guild Submissions: The following are the rules for getting a local guild up on Bravo Online:
:........................: 1) You must have 10 CONFIRMED supporters for guild creation on Bravo Online. I will be setting up a webpage where the confirmation will be automated. The guild admin will be adding new guilds AT LEAST 3 times a week.
:........................: 2) You may NOT create a guild for your personal use. As stated in rule #1, you must have at least 10 people to get your guild online.
:........................: 3) There will be events that take reserved guild names. If your guild name is already reserved, think of another one.

I appreciate your taking the time to read these updates. I apologize to anyone and everyone that is disappointed by the fact that we are remaining a Pay to Play server. I hope that you will take the time to visit us, and check back often for updates.

GAWD!! this is soo stupid.. okay.. CLoud X! RAcoon and ZETH!

You guys quit Bravo a LONG time ago!?!?! meaning, you basicaly lost all rights to those levels. And WOW you guys are gonna bring old bravo back.. okay d00d... it wont happen, I tried , STefan said he would not upload it. NOW, on the other hand, Brandon already has a Playerworld, we can do it damn it! I dont even see what the big point is, you guys tryin to take credit for the levels, id hate to bring it to you guys, those levels suck crap. On the otherhand, we can make them better, and add lots of new things.

Not all the players will come back you say? Okay, thats fine, I know me and my friends will, thats 15 more ppl then we got right now. And, when a playerworld gets a good count of players, what happens... it sky rockets, look at UN. They have a good population, you think its cuz there levels, and quests? your wrong, its cuz of there community that they have formed.

Now, Im sayin to Brandon, that we should just go ahead and do it, they have no right to stop is. They never copyrighted those levels, i dont see no Copyright Racoondog and Cloudx .. and Zeth.. how does he have some kind of say in this.. UGH!!!!!

They were uploaded in the first place and everything uploaded to Graal is property of Graal I heard, so therefore you should be allowed to use it again.

If they put it on a server its not "their" levels anymore, the the servers levels.

i totally agreee, stetfan cant reject it because the levels are copyrighted, and i know u guys will do em up wicked so if he rejects it ill tell him off

the makers of the levels have all rights so stop talking about it, there's nothing you can do.

How so? they quit.. then Brandon took over, when Brandon first took over, the same old levels where up. Meaning he owns them now. Racoon and Cloud and Zeth all quit. So they basicaly took the levels out of there name.

And like slakmaster said, once the levels are uploaded Graalonline owns them .

Im agreeing with Symbonia on all of this. None of them, RacoonDog, Zeth, or Cloud X have any right to say no. They are not their levels anymore.
They have no legal copyright

it wouldnt matter unless they get a legal copyright on a level, anyway whatever you upload to graal without a copyright becomes property of graal, and property of the current owner of the server so go for it, they have no say

The level makers do NOT have all rights to the levels. Once uploaded, they become the sole property of GraalOnline. The level makers have NO rights whatsoever to the levels.

They quit and left the levels. So it was no longer theirs.

THANK GOD! I try and tell people old bravo was cool back then but the levels suck and people will realize that if it goes back up. Right now we all have good memories of it. If we bring it back that is very stupid.

I am glad to be working on New Bravo and am working on new quest and main events.

Ok the reason why I want those levels up (I'm not staff) is because PLAIN IS BETTER. You wanna know why graal is boring and so stupid now? Because people are trying to make it something it's not. Just keep it plain and simple. You can disagree but you and I both know you're totally wrong.

Racoon, Cloud, Zeth...
This is Raven_X and I've been on bravo since it was on a 1.28 server hosted on a cable line. If you read this do this as a favor to ME and no one else. If you don't want Brandon to have the rights to the levels let me have them...you SHOULD know I would never screw bravo over because this is and always will be my favorite pw.

If this doesn't go up I plan to run a 1.28 bravo online with the 1st ORIGINAL set of levels that I think only me and RacoonDog posses.

Level expectations rise and quality changes. Old Bravo was acceptable back in the day but bringing it in now with a new tileset, new scripting and lighting effect etc would be pretty stupid indeed. The level quality would now be considered terrible

You people whine about quality too much.

I believe Classic has the best set of levels and ALWAYS will for the fact that they don't change much and they have looked the same for most of their time.

Cloud X sad it b/c h did not want the Nice Good Bravo hemade to look like hell on a crappy server and Zeth well I dont know about him and I also think thatCoon would have said no sence he wanted to have Bravo back after he seen what Brandon did to it.

I totally agree with the plain levels. The scripting and NPCs are what make a good playerworld.
