N-Pulse Latest.

Hello everyone a post with some information about N-Pulse.
The recent what happend to n-pulse thread showed as always there is always interest and tons of people who miss N-Pulse, i saw there it got like 3500 Views.

As we all know N-Pulse has been off the hosted tab for awhile, and fully offline for a bit aswell.. Had many ups and downs.. But N-Pulse is being restored and hopes to make a come back soon!

Our Plan is to properly restore an older N-Pulse, but not just pick an older year and go for that.. We want to bring a mix of older and newer N-Pulse.. Still as always focused on being a classic pc server..At the heart Questing/Events/PKing and Sparring.

Were using a later tileset, the eoa one. Which we want to work with a little (in progress). It tends to be mixed reviews with eoa. I always liked it, although felt it was very dark, we want to refresh it and lighten it up some, closer to a pics1 feel.

Maybe they could put the amusement park stuff back up. I know there was a roller coaster, and some games, but I don't remember what all was there. I loved it, and MG worked hard getting scripters and gfx to get it done. It was his baby.

Would like to see some of the quests put back up too (or new ones), maybe make them so you can redo them again and again, and have different prizes. We have had some interesting quests, over the years, on N-Pulse. Personally, my favorite thing to do on Graal, are the quests, and PK'ing with a bunch of people.

Trying to draw UN players away from UN seems like a hostile move. Rather then stealing players we feel it's strong to establish our own base of players on top of the regulars we have. Also, correct me if I am wrong but wasn't there some talk about UN going RPG? As of right now finding a good Action Adventure server is a rough task. We really don't want to do level up systems and such, we much rather prefer to continue the traditional quest for hearts.

I agree. It would be nice to have Funland back but we don't seem to have those backups and were still reaching out to people who potentially might.

We already have ran thru each quest and assessed what needs to be done to update them and make them working. There are even a few that are nearly finished and would have been if it hadn't been for Andy and I noticing a few bugs.

Yeah i would love to see funland come back, i only have a few imgs from it at the moment.. but im sure i have it someplace, trying to get that.. Had log flume, and bumper cars and stuff like that.. would like to see that return with a ton of new games/attractions.
Also that was a area for special Fireworks/Balloons for sale.

As for the quests, we plan on using orig ones and adding newer ones as we go, which will be for other prizes/items.. so the quests dont just end after getting the hearts and items.

I agree Moonie, i like questing, and pking is one of my fav things.. nothing better than seeing level3 or the pk level packed out.. Wanna try and bring some life back into pking and sparring again.

5x5, wow thats a bit small. I've kinda been fond of more along the lines of 8x8 and 10x10 servers. I think N-Pulse is a bit bigger tho but with much water surrounding it tho. Roaming around actually doesn't feel big at all tho, I can honestly say.

Yeah 5x5 seems a bit small for us. We have a really good sized map.

I always felt N-Pulse had some of the best events ive seen over the years. Many of these will return. If anyone has requests on these (get pmed this alot) Let me know.

What are you going to do that will make sure UN players dont play N-Pulse? Thats the better way to look at it.

Isn't the goal actually to get players and have them enjoy the server? so why shouldn't UN players log onto N-Pulse and enjoy it?

There not, but to be honest PC servers community is what makes the server. If N-Pulse "stole" all UN players it wouldn't be N-Pulse. Lets not compare servers because a comparison isn't the case, and off subject. I really loved your answer Scriptless and I wish you guys the best of luck.

Indeed the goal is to get players back and enjoy the server.. UN does have alot of people who play there because of their home servers are gone.Those are the people we would like to win back, but we dont want to focus on getting players from just UN or anything like that. We will welcome any players. We hope to rebuild the community of old and new.

Very true, the community is what makes the server. Indeed it wouldnt be n-pulse.. far from it... Why un and n-p will always be very different. Each server has its own strong community and yeah we dont need to get into comparisons with any other servers, there is no need.

Things certainly have changed since i saw it the beginning of last year and i am glad to see progress being made.

Being a member of Graal since 09-10 i haven't had the opportunity to see these servers long known throughout Graal and i really like it that people are trying to revive them so me and the newer generations of Graal have a chance to see what all went on years before our time.

Yeah that was on my dev server, things have stepped up a gear since you last saw the server.. But as always progress is being made.
Yeah thats what we are aiming for, N-Pulse was one of the original servers.. the old generation miss it, and im sure the new will love it as we did.

You made that gfx? Didn't know that. I always wondered who's gfx I was using when I scripted that. Personally the script is outdated and I kinda feel ashamed of the quality if the script (gs1) and I would rather see it gone anyways.

I bet a lot of people would actually. But let us get some more content before we open to the public. We will release more information as we progress, however, there is a lot of work to be done first.

Im sure alot of people would like the staff only to be off, running around the server floods back tons of great memorys.. but as scriptless said there is work to be done and will open to the public when we get all the content ready and tested. That way there will be tons to do, dont want people just idling away lol.

Finally its coming back, I get bored just idling on UN. I also can't wait to see some familiar old faces too if they start logging back on also. We need some of the oldbies to come back. <3

Couldn't agree more, can't wait to just be able to log on again, its been too long. Hopefully see some old faces and new. Ill be keeping an eye on this thread for a release date.

We have even more good news I recently decided to reconsider my career allowing myself more time to work on the server. Working 2 jobs just wasn't leaving me enough time to get everything done quick enough. Will be able to post more updates this month.

I found my files from 2006/2007 with the log flume levels and graphics, if/when you need them, or anything else you need
