Random Prize Box

You’ve seen the fact that players request a new event shop. Players aren’t accepting Event Coins in trades for the fact it’s a renewable currency (Event Coins) for their unobtainable items. We realise this, and i see several simple fixes to many of the servers bigger problems.

What it is-

Basically, the idea in itself is to add three new items to the event shop. The items added will be technically random prize boxes, they will cost 25, 50, and 75 event coins respectively. The price of the box will coincide with the items you would get from them, as a 25 EC box will give you lower tier items, you would get very rare items from a 75 EC box.

Reasoning-

The reasoning for this all is to fix many old problems we have always had. Getting items into the economy, getting Event Coins out. More events would be hosted, with Event Coins more in demand. We would keep the limited items limited, yet we would release a lot more rares. With a hopefully expanding player-count from Graal Kingdoms iPhone we will need more items in the economy, and this is a steady, worth-while update that can be done easily to please many players.

I see this as an also easy way to release new items into the economy. As if someone posts in the graphics submissions, and you don’t want to have to host one off, you can add it to the Merchant’s Fortune Box, giving players a shot at one of a kind items. It’s a means for an ends to a lot of things.

How this can be implemented-

This can be implemented easily, using the GK gift boxes as images for the fortune boxes. Simple enough, and not needed of much development. I could see you just replacing the RDA/BDA merchant in the Event Shop with the Prize Box Merchant, and add RDA/BDA/Speed Amulet to the the Gale Merchant.

Ideas of prizes per box-

This is just an idea. If this were accepted I'd sit down and make a huge list of items that the boxes could give. I'm not putting that effort into it if it's not accepted yet.

Adventurer’s Fortune Box- 6 Enchant Armors, 3 Increase Weapon Damage, Phoenix Helmet, Plate Mail of Power+6, Full helmet of Might +6, Speed Amulet, Dustari Boots, Pirate Boots, Snow Boots, Shield of Frost, Green Cloak, Thunder Sword, Ice Flaming Sword, Cloak of minor protection +12, Farming hat, Flaming Ice Dagger, Ice Dagger, Merchant’s Fortune Box, Hammer of Agility.

Merchant’s Fortune Box- Inferno Sword, 12 Enchant Armor, 5 IWD’s, Belt of Crystal Heart, Wood Bracers, Sigil of Thunder, Sash of Clarity, Phoenix Shield, Inferno dagger, Tyrant’s Fortune Box, Gloves of Dragonhide, Hammer of Might, Bakers Boots.

Tyrant’s Fortune Box- Gloves of the Bandit, Blue Dragon Amulet Fragment, Red Dragon Amulet Fragment, Darkflame Sword, Demon Shield, 12 Enchant Armors, 6 Increase Weapon Damages, Mercury Belt, Monkey Sandals of Gust, Elven Boots, Blood Ring (1), Gauntlets of Strength, Girdle of Strength, Hammer of Sorcery, Demon Stone.

Idea, perhaps add a box called “God’s Fortune Box” that can’t be bought or obtained unless by getting it from the Tyrant’s Fortune Box. In the God's Fortune Box we could have only the most elite items.. Girdle of Fighting, Gloves of the Giant, Ghost Pirate Amulet, Mithril Chainmail of Lightning, etc.

(Just some ideas, it’d be nice if you would look through them to see how it would work out pretty well.)

hah, you took my idea for the 3 tiers of boxes anyway good idea. i support this we definitely need a way to get all of those 1 of a kind items so that players dont need to spend USD for pixels

Yea. It's been in my google docs till I brought it up on GK today. I showed Craigus, Tig, Chaos, everyone, it around 6 months ago, only minor edits have happened.

No thanks. This would only help people who've horded ec, and new players wouldn't even have enough for the low tier box.

Would be a good idea, just introduce a new type of event currency to prevent all the horders from benefiting.

The point of the event was to get rare things back into the public? If they hoarded ec, chances are they would simply hoard the items they get as well.

On top of that, they would be the only ones to really benefit from it as well.

Are you ****ing serious? You're saying the 900 EC i've "hoarded", which I'd like to say SAVED, because the current EC shop sucks... would be useless? You know how ridiculous that is to say? I spend EC's, I save EC's, it matters the deal I'm getting. Why make my 100k diamonds worth of EC go down to nothing? I've played atleast 1k hours saving all this up, wouldn't really be much fun for me to see all my currency go null.

The event shop needs an update. That's that. We don't need more currency, we need a steady income of items, and a reason for playing events. Do you want these to drop from monsters? If this happened, EC's would be more wanted than ever. Giving players a reason to play events.
