Hello, as many of you know Vinka has quit and discontinued development on Europa. Upon my request, he has given the server to me. Since we no longer have the unique graphics from Vinka, the server will not continue on the same path. The server will be a general classic server that focuses on PKing, events, economy, and quests. There will be many weapons and benefits for pking; PKing will be one of the greatest aspects of of the server. We plan to make it possible to build your own fort.

Hirings:
If you are interested email [email protected] with examples of your work.

Scripters:
As a scripter you must be able to script gs2 efficiently(no GS1 please!)
When you are first hired you will be given limited rights to ensure you do not cause any damage to the server. You must have extensive knowledge and experience as you will be creating many systems such as item trading, an events system, and GUI's.

Levels:
As a LAT, in addition to knowing how to use the editor, you must show creativity and the ability to adapt to a servers style of levels. I do not want levels if they take merely 20 minutes to create. Levels will be heavily detailed and not show signs of copy/pasting. You must also be willing to accept criticism.

Graphics and Gani artists:
Simply show me several examples of the work YOU have created and send them to me.

As a member of the team you may be paid with in game currency and special items.

If there are any questions feel free to ask. There is currently no deadline but I will announce one once I feel I have a decent team.

I'm sure Europa will still be fun, but to me the graphics were the things that made it not just another playerworld. I hope you'll be able to make Europa interesting in your own way

The server will focus heavily on pking and go further than any other classic server has gone on making pking fun and benificial.

agreed but it sounds just like another playerworld which I hoped wouldn't happen X.x which wouldn't of happened if Vinka was still in control.

It's never going to make hosted. If it does it will flop within one week. Don't feel bad though, thats just how it works.

there are only a few I remember ever getting up. Maloria did and it died quick, there were a few others like Armageddon, that died quick too. now-a-days playerworlds just are not reasonable ideas.

I disagree with that. They don't have to be reasonable ideas, but if someone has a great idea for a unique server, and knows they can make it work, I think they should do it, and completely ignore all the people who hate the idea.

There are Many people I've seen on this forum that complain that Graal is dying, and that there are no new players, and then get all cranky at the newer players who try to make a server. Let them do it, it's their choice.

... But I do think it's okay to hope it'll be unique...

I am one of those naysayers, but for a good reason. New players purchase a server assuming it's easy to build one. To their surprise, it is very difficult, and they get discouraged. An intelligent new player would learn a skill (graphics, levels, scripting) and practice it on testbed or other private servers first. I love the ideas new players have, but they do not know how to execute it. I bought a server, with nearly no experience (like many do), and was fortunate to get a good staff team together and Zodiac made classic. One in a million chance right there, and it was a long-long-long path.

I totally agree, I liked the odd graphics of Europa, anything out of the Graal norm is pretty cool no matter how poor or good.

Classic Status shouldn't be a player-worlds goal; nor hosted. This I agree with.

The only thing it is doing is helping them advertise their server.. which playerworld owners could do them selves if they were smart. Bring in free trials, and if the game is good, and the new people can actually play.. "Half the servers don't explain the keyboard layout or how to do anything" They can be a great server.

Are you ****ing retarded? Classic Status shouldn't be a goal? Reaching a point where your server is good enough to not require you to pay rental fees shouldn't be a goal?

True, but that's just the outer shell. They should focus on creating substance content wise and the rest would follow.

Not knowing about the free rental spots, yes it shouldn't be the goal.
It is only a server advertised in the eyes of the log-in menu judged by the owners (I assume).

If one had known about the free rental spots I suppose it could be the goal but doesn't necessarily make your server good. There could be better under construction servers in players eyes. I've definitely seen better servers under-construction in the past similar to Dustys' old server by a girl around 2003.
