Math functions

I saw this somewhere else, but I cant seem to find it anymore. I'm looking for a specific math function. the one that converts the number in the parenthesis into a real number (-1 becomes 1, -14 becomes 14, etc)

anyone know what it is?

abs(n) is absolute value (distance from zero e.g. makes the number positive). Real numbers are pretty much any numbers you can express without rounding (1, 1/3, -27.132, etc).

itym rational numbers, real numbers are all numbers including irrational numbers, just not complex numbers.
