Survival?
Something is off when I barely walk outside of unstick me, gun out, ready for anything... just to stop by Dairy Hut when all of a sudden a guy jacked up on steroids and toting an expensive gun suddenly drops me before I can fire the third shot, which by the way, misses. How long did I last? 1-2 seconds. This has happened to me on a regular basis, as well as many others.
Don't bring the argument that it's all about skill and that I don't know how to fight, 'noob', all that BS. I've been on Era for a long time. I get back on after a few months hiatus, and all of a sudden there's something markedly different about everything. Suddenly I'm seeing people left and right being completely unable to defend themselves effectively because of this breakout of anabolic steroid usage and expensive military hardware.
I used to be able to defend myself with a basic double barrel shotgun.
And another thing that totally makes sense is to make No-PK zones somewhat free game. I merely take a stray Uzi round from across the gmap that wasn't intended for me as I head into Unstick because I need to check something for a moment-- and I'm already flagged. The whole point of a NoPK zone is for it to be a safe area. I'd understand if it flagged me if I fired back or hit someone, but not when I'm just trying to stop for a moment. People run away from fights, seek haven and heal, but big deal. That just means that people need to get better at killing someone before they reach safety. Leave that as it was before.
Suggestion for the PK tagging system:
Only tag people that have hurt someone. If they shoot anyone that doesn't fight back, their target doesn't get the penalty. This means that the so-called 'lame PKers' that fight and then run to noPK and heal won't get that benefit. People just passing by won't get murdered because they got hit by a stray bullet which alerted 10 vultures nearby, and newbies get some relief. And are more challenging to hunt down.
Suggestions for the unbalanced steroid supplements/firearms:
I assume that the firearms are balanced in EDEV.
If (if not, disregard) the Gelat Lightness Potion can be stacked with the GRC coffee (Capp+Light), do something to give non-gelat spenders some sort of fighting chance. It's like these highrollers are buying a weeklong speed hack with their BFG9000. |
