Doing the same kind of shading on the handle should fit, or maybe a brown/wooden texture for the handle, I don't know.
That's up to you.

You don't really have any defined volumes within the shading, you should try to fix that, and also, the handle of the gun is a bit big in proportion to the barrel of the gun o.O

Originaly the handle was different and not as "big", but i had to change it to the "needs" of the Gani artist.

Liberated has a spectacular aura about
Shape:
Nice i like it, seems like a good graal gun, good size.
Colors:
Photoshop says 97 colors?! Way too many. You need 10 at most, you use loads of colors with hardly any contrast in between them.
shading: Like the other people said, lacks defined shapes in the shading, aswell as contrast, metal is shiny.
example:
I took your gun, didn't do anything about the shape,
took my own colors and tried to shade it,
colors used: 7, including black.

A cartoony graphic for a cartoony game having black outlines!? Perish the thought.

Again you didn't define any volumes, you just put a gradient over the barrel, and a gradient over the handle. I must say i like the other guy's handle better,

How can you like it better it looks like hes used a black fill tool on the handle, and what do you mean by "define volumes"

It looks better because it looks like all you used is gradients, i see 1 gradient down the barrel, and one down the handle.
It doesn't look like anything really, take aeko's edit, you can actually see some depth in it, that is what you need to try and accomplish with shading. The other guys handle hasn't got alot of shading, but in my opinion that's better then bad shading.
