Doesn't sit very well with me, especially on Classic where that was never a focus.

Jobs, no.

An economy, not really. However, it would be more realistic to keep the amounts of valuable items (gelats, tickets, etc.) in check, rather than having masses of said items sitting in banks or profiles doing nothing.

Agreed, I don't believe it will have a true economy but there should be a basic economy that gives value to some things. Otherwise its back to square one and everyone complaining about how everything is useless.

I don't wish to see jobs on Classic because to me Classic is about simple fun where you can just log in and play and do what you wish. Don't like the idea of having to labour for rewards or anything.

xnervNATx has a spectacular aura about
burger refuge(add the food from gta)
pizza team(add it back god)
graal restaurant(add more than just a beer, a restaurant doesnt sell beer only)

for the economy, its would be a good start to STOP the ctf madness and stop hosting the same event daily. have more gralat shop, or more STUFF to do with them.

@ the ctf madness complaint:

during the last months of classic being on the list (may/june perhaps,) the GC team had discussed the issue of the large amount of tickets given out at madness. We had discussed several options, and eventually decided that ctf madness would instead give out "gc tokens" rather than tickets. Essentially 5 or 10 of these tokens could be traded in for 1 ticket. Obviously the idea never was implemented (I believe clel was supposed to make them, but was off-and-on with activity like everyone else,) so whether or not a similar system is invented to solve the problem remains to be seen.

Of course we could just get rid of ctf madness altogether, but I'd still like to see it held one weekend a month for a 3-4 hour period. IMO it's too much fun (when the games are competitive,) to just get rid of. But yeah, the excess tickets were a problem.

Hmm, I think this thread sums up the opinions of just about all of Classic's old playerbase.

I don't know why a lot of people blame ctf madness so much; it only happened 2-3 nights out of every week. The real problem was the lack of participants in other events that had people like Laura rake in easy tickets.

As for Jobs: naaaa. Maybe you could have something minor and fun to add more interest, but nothing too heavily integrated. I agree on somewhat of a managed economy so things don't go heavily inflated again so fast. (which inevitably it will)
