Fast people?

How do graalians go so fast? they go faster than if they had level 3 shield. All they say is that they have dsl. Boy 10 people have gotten DSL in the past week what program are you all using just curious.

I've seen and jailed a few people for speed-cheating.
Of course they admitted to it stupidly in an attempt to get released.

I don't really see why a speed hack is necessary.

They use it most of the time in sparring, and most events. (especially races... I was surprised when someone beat me by two screens during swimming)

Anyway there really isnt a reason to it's just well dumb to try and win something by cheating

Once Heyhost was speedhacking and flying around swinging and walking MUCH faster than me, and he told the police he had a T3, AND he got away with it.

It is called the "Speed Cheat" and for using it anywhere you can be jailed, if you read the rules about hacking it says NO HACKING IS ALOWED and this counts as a hack

Why is this a hack?..it just speeds up your system clock or something like that..it has nothing to do with the game.

I KNEW IT! I knew there were people speed hacking! Today I was in a survivor event and one @$$hole was running SUPER FAST! I told the member of ET who was running the event and he said "well some people have pentium 4" GIVE ME A BREAK! I think I know a speed hack when I see one! A number of other people were in the event and nobody else complained. WHY NOT? It pisses me off, people cheat and *****s are too dumb to even spot cheating. Put me on ET and we'll see who gets away with it then

P.S. Even though someone was cheating I still won the event, go me!

And, the Athlon Thunderbirds outperformed the Pentium 4s in most benchmarking tests.

I was with Zulithe in that spar tournament.....one of the fast people was Redflair.....if i was not in the water....he was on me like the plague........us bomys need like special shoes we can go on a quest for that speeds us up by a little.....so that we can at least move at a more decent speed........but that might be asking for too much, lol

It's kind of a sketchy issue, the person doesn't really hack Graal, they hack their system.

But processor/connection speed has nothing to do with it- Graal is timed, like most programs, to the cycling of your system clock, so it doesn't matter if you benchmarked 20 times faster than me and you were hooked straight into the Graal2001 server, you'd still go the same speed.

It's a hack or something to do with your computers RTC, it really isn't good for it.

Yes Dante that is my point, it wouldn't matter if he had a pentium 4 or not (I myself have an 800mhz AMD Athlon and you don't see me running around at 4x human speed)

While not technically a hack of the Graal software (I don't know how this is done so I will take your word for it) it is still a "modification" that gives them a severe and unfair advantage over other players and provides him with something no other *honest* player has, which is enhanced speed. Players doing this do it knowing that it will give them enhanced speed and they know it is cheating (be it hacking or not technically, it is still cheating) so... I just think that everyone including members of Police, ET et al should be aware of this cheat so that they can deal with it acordingly given the possibility that they enounter someone taking advantage of the loophole. As long as there are games, there will be cheaters, so we gotta keep our eyes open and be aware. Speaking of cheating, has the fishing cheat been fixed?

I think Zulithe has the right point. It may or may not be hacking, but it is definitely cheating.

Thanks for the heads up Dante. I saw someone using it a few days ago (before I knew that the cheat even existed) he would catch a fish and then disconnect, he did this several times and I asked him what was wrong. He told me he was having conectivity issues and that people kept calling his house which disconnected him LOL, what a liar.

The fishing cheat killed my wealth- I was by far the richest individual on Graal before that... even including the people who had gotten money from Ice Pick when he splurged to avoid being audited by Unixmad.

I occasionally go a slight but faster then other people, but that is so little that it's near too unnoticeable, and besides I lag so much that it's hard to notice the difference.

yes... a program named Taskinfo enables you to prioritize programs, you can get Graal to use 100% of your cpu usage with it... it just makes it near impossible to do anything else on your computer so I never use it now. I used it when I had a 3web free interent thing, which included 2 flash adds at the top of the screen always, so I had to prioritze graal and slow down 3web, but with 2 flash adds I was still the laggiest graal player.

Graphics processing slowness can make you slower than other players, and lag can make you seem slower- even though you actually aren't, but nothing but a tweak will make you actually faster than what you're supposed to be.
