New Tree ideas

Here's a simple one if you think about it.

Apple trees.

plant it, let it grow, then when its fully grown, kick it or hit it with something not sharp and the apples will randomly fall out of it until there are none left. Then you could even cut it down and use it for boards.

I have an orange in my inventory to, so that means we could make an orange tree the same way, and the monkies on GK are missing something... Bananas!

Yes, there was already the idea of bananas. You need to have a monkey pet and if you are close to a palm you should play a special sound to make your monkey climb it to get a few bananas

Hmm that sounds neat, but what of the apples and oranges??
I know I got a few apples somehows, but anywho. Just kind of fits that we got all these farming tools and other fruits and veggies, I dont see whats to hard about an apple tree, except maybe scrpting it.

Hmmm the problem are the current plantable trees, which grow too fast. It's good for fast ship production, but wouldn't be realistic for apple trees or so. Also a question would be how the trees are protected, I mean will the guy who planted & watered the tree get the fruits or anyone in the same kingdom ?

Do we need a protection? Its the same with all plantable things. You should only need a tool to reap the benefits of the trees.

I think fruit plants should be a little more persistant too. I mean, you pick the apples off a tree, and it doesn't take down the whold tree. You should have to cut it down to actually remove it.

Perhaps after all the apples are dropped, if the tree is left up, after 10 minutes/an hour/a day, whatever time period is deemed correct, then the apples will grow up. It could be sort of like...seasonal.

Maybe something longer like the flowerbed or because its a tree not have to watter it but take just a bit longer. But its an entire tree so it owuld have to drop atleast 10 I would think.

Well it's an old thread, but still in discussion.
Why we need to plant the trees? Let them grow by itself, like it does in nature. They grows, blossoms and gets fruits. If nobody shakes them down, they fall and rot. All that can happen in a given time.
