Things Not To Do As A Manager

THINGS NOT TO DO AS A MANAGER
- Leave IP Range *.*.*.*.* - Doing so will give access to anyone who might get that staff members password whatever rights you gave him.
- Give high rights to someone you don't know and trust - Results in that person one day getting angry at you, deleting all you're work, and you having to start back where you had last backed up if you did, possibly attempting to take over you're server and Spark having to be called apon to save you.
- Give huge access to level/npc folder - results in deletion as well, try making a folder if you MUST have them being able to upload, give them a folder to put levels for you to accept or deny them.
- Hire Events Team/GP's before you even get on classic tab, sure you want to bring interest to your server, but still, why do they need to even exist yet, they are wasted space, Developement is all you need at a Under Construction level.
- Post BLANK BLANK is hiring without Screen Shots or something, nobody wants to work for someone who doesnt work himself and hasn't got ANYTHING up yet, thats just plain out wrong, in fact, I wouldn't even buy space until I have enough to get on the Hosted Tab, but thats me not wanting to waste my money I work so hard to earn.
- Leave your server for weeks times and just show up to see how progress is going - What the hell? What type of manager are you? MANAGE. you should be doing more work then anyone else, its your money, don't waste it.

I have to agree with most of it. Great ideas for some eager to be managers. It's kinda weird when you see these new servers just buying servers with nothing behind them. But not my money, I guess.

Why? Do you disagree with any of what he said? It's all valid and relative in Graal today, since alot of servers ARE doing what he said, so this post is very good for the people that are making mistakes.

I just disagree with those 2.....A playerworld should be allowed to hire GP and ET....Well maybe not GP....My server is on the Hosted Tab and we get alot of people time to time so i have 1-2 ET's...No RC though.

And about the managing thing....Let the manager do what he wants...Im not saying your wrong but it's his/her idiotic choice to do this....Just let them fail to make their playerworld succesfull.

Nonono, the reason we want them to do things right is that, when they screw up, they have to go whining to stefan or spark or unix or whoever, complaining about how their server's been haxed up and the staff have to waste time fixing it just because that "manager" didn't do his job properly o.o

I think when it's invisible, maybe one GP or something at most. When it's in the hosted tab, one or two GPs and an ET. Maybe more if it's a popular server. When it gets to the Classic tab, go nuts.

thats what i am saying.

if a manager of a playerworld has to get tips from this thread. they should not be a manager at all.

There only a Manager NOT because of their skill...But how good they convinced Stephane or Stefan when they sent in there playerworld submission summary.
