Lemme be the first to admit that years ago I talked alot of trash about UN...and it was deserved then. However, currently they have the highest playercount as well as some of the most creative and entertaining events. Props to UN...don't know management or anything but you guys have been entertaining me and I'm happy.

Not really. They've taken ideas from other servers and replicated them poorly. Maloria back in the day had much better, and N-Pulse has much better right now.

UN is easily the best server to spar on, however.

That's your opinion then. I think UN has the best events overall at the moment. Classic used to when it was alive, believe it or not (No, it was not only CTF).

As for UN, I don't know how you can say it is better than before. I tend to think the attitude of the UN playerbase has become worse in recent years. (maybe because of a special guild )

Come play some N-Pulse events then. Most people I talk to (on UN and otherwise) agree that N-Pulse has the best (and most well made).

In any case, I don't see a -whole- lot of difference to be honest. Quests have changed little...maybe a few more of them (I haven't exactly checked), maybe some bug fixes. Level improvements (UN's levels aren't terrific, however when compared to what you see elsewhere, they're a cut above most), lots of spar improvements and such. But honestly, from when I started Graal around '02 I see very little difference.

It's a formula that seems to work, however. And they certainly have the best tools available to GPs and such for moderating players (although the list of things you can't do in jail seems a little overkill), which seems to pay off. They do need to do a better job filtering what staff get hired however...not the most competent people.

Lol, and N-Pulse doesn't have generic events? I like a few of the Npulse events (Bulldog, Kartrace, roguewar), but most events are generic. UN has some pretty bad events. However, N-Pulse events probably COULD be better if ever it had a good playercount.

As for the economy, it used to be a lot better when there were very minimal hats and NPC's. But now that there have been a plethora of hat shop releases, that's all you will see being massed in relation to an economy. Currency, at the moment, is also worthless.

We're not saying we don't We're saying we have original and good events.

They're already better it's just people don't come back due to the fact most of your players are sparrers. Did I forget to mention that people can actually see our events have a name. not an abbreviation for one. But I'm not here to discuss that. I'm simply stating that UN has some flaws and I contributed to the thread. Just make a thread "How N-Pulse could be better" If you want to discuss it so bad.

UN is like Val in terms of players. There's circles of people with different agendas that alienate/overwhelm/discourage new players. Unlike Val, these circles are accessible, and the server itself actually has content worth taking advantage of, be it sparring or events.

UN is still pretty lame though. Especially when it comes to annoying NPCs, mass messages, sloppy ganis, and eye-candy light effects.

No offense, but I don't see how the playerbase of UN and Val compare as I barely ever notice anybody playing that server.

I didn't mean Val's recent playercount, but the argument against its playerbase was that they were so xenophobic and unwelcoming. UN's just as bad, but it's easier to become a part of the group

I didn't see where Mystic said UN has good events, but they're actually pretty bad/bland/uncreative. The ones that are unique are badly made. They just have a sloppy, generic feel to them, and look like hardly any effort was involved in their creation.

Sure, they're good enough, but I wouldn't use any terms that express any amount of quality when describing them.

UN, especially its events, is just a big combination of everything good on any other server, with variations slight enough to call them different. The only original content on UN has been around for years, with little to no effort to restore/improve it (castlewars, rpg place, ring/storyline quests), instead replaced by "lolhats" and "BTK on top", with very brief new things popping up, and even then, only for a short time (zombie infection, ski resort).

UN's revolving staff line-up and obvious favoritism in hirings takes a lot of the blame.

This guy has a lot of good points. But I would like to add on from there. One more thing UN somewhat has even though it's a gigantic illusion is the idea behind buying and trading HATS. Whenever Im online I always see some ****ing hat or NPC being traded and sold.

Other than that they've got sparring and such backing them up. But when you look down into it other than that content wise. They haven't jack ****. They've just simply got basic things as a core. While I'm at it there's also a very close ring of people in that playercount which is another reason why they've held up so strongly.

tl;dr version: Hats n Overly stupid NPCs available to the masses as a "economy".

Sumo was a gold mine that was milked to unplayability. I'd log on, see Sumo was being hosted, and then cringe because there was some new stupid gimmick attached to it.

I recall charge being tiny and cramped, all in an effort to make look less like Delteria's spacious and perfected version.

Aw, I think N-Pulses charge event is fun, though. But I hate the 10 million versions of sumo on N-Pulse. Sumo was never a great event, anyways.

UN does have their Guild whatever castle thing, though, but several servers have done that kind of thing better (Maloria's Nation Wars comes to mind...now THAT was great).

i don't see why this is bad at all? it's cool collecting hats and being able to trade them off for more hats or NPCs. to me it just seems like the people from n-pulse are looking for any reason to bash unholy nation because it's far better. if you don't like the server or the content releases, then why do you log in to the server? shouldn't you be on yours trying to make it better?

No, it's pretty stupid. Just because he doesn't play UN doesn't mean that everything about UN is perfect. As traded items, hats are UN's equivalent to, say, Era's expensive guns. Except they offer no function and are unobtainable outside of trading. That's stupid.

where did i say UN was perfect? and how can you compare UNs hats to eras guns? do you even know what you're saying? and hats do serve a purpose. you can sell hats for other hats or NPCs or for ep/gralats.
