Who feels

That we need change in Graal Kingdoms? Its the same thing day in and day out, just sitting in trade to obtain the same items? I'm sure you've all heard this complaint for years, but lets face it.. Something needs to be done.. something new needs to happen to attract the new source of players, and infact keep the oldbies to keep on playing.. Im sure they'll all agree with me

Lets see some quests, new items, new monsters, kingdom activity, something.. to keep us guessing. Its been way to long since we've seen anything.

I'm going to be the one to say it. The only way your getting alot of great items is through USD'ing (Form of buying items with United States Dollars). Honestly, pretend you just logged on. No items, no nothing. Unless you have a hookup. Your never going to be able to obtain atleast one of the good items some of us have. Look at all these items that arnt even obtainable nowayadays.. No beginner will ever receive them.. I dunno if the staff feel that they'll loose old players from new changes or what, but I don't think they would. If stuff changed, even negatively towards me, i'd still play.. on the onsite that new players are comming..

Go level, go get your items.. what kingdom are you going to battle? What player are you going to attack? Those who play GK are clueless to this question as I am..

Lets see a change? Whos ready? I know I am.. So lets do something.

I agree with all of these, especially "New monsters". Perhaps new dungeons to boot. There is a massive lapse in levelling. Once you hit around level 30, you're stuck with Treasure Maps and low level dungeons until you can take on Zombies, and that's not likely to happen until at least a decently levelled Lv.60-80 player who has only focused on say 2 skills. The gap needs to be closed in a way that's not essentially a smooth ride to the level cap without help from your fellow man/woman, but at least provides a happy-medium level challenge for those in this "Limbo period" of levelling.

On a side note, there are a LOT of bugs and level problems surrounding GK. One such I have a screenshot of is mainly on the outer edges of Main Island from the GMAP shrinking (So I'm told, it's been shrunk in the past, but I was off/on through the years and missed it if it did). Either way, this was taken up near Bile:

I'm guessing there is also a couple of level-link problems in these areas that are messing with Lords as I chased one up and when it changed level, it completely disappeared. Just a guess, I could be wrong.

The thing is, many tell me that these bugs and problems have been reported over and over again, but will only be fixed if a player can gainfully abuse it. Personally, I would like to see things fixed as they're found. Things like the above level mismatch are fairly small and easy to fix and should be a knock-over to resolve.

I agree, to kill a Zombie with melee you'd need around 40 - 45 physique level to break their armour class plus at least 50+ armour class yourself so it doesn't kill you easily. With magic around level 15 - 20 and a lot of mana/mana crystals. Wisdom isn't as bad as the other skill areas but only if you have holy word and directors. This is s very big gap from leveling on lords/maps.

I think the problems with main.gmap started when the start island was moved to the bottom of the gmap moving many levels along from the normal positions which messed up most of the terrain. Fixing terrain isn't a bad job you just need to know where the terrain is broken.

Change, suggestions for change and all that, has been spoken of so many times on forums, in-game, aim whatever. GK just isn't as responsive as it should and could be. There is a talented but very small development team, who aren't being payed or even given free gold (from what I've heard, correct me if the scene has changed) and who have other life commitments to attend to.

So i'm not going to say this is a good suggestion or anything, because i've already lost my breath preaching change in the past and regardless of my stamina with it, i'm tired.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. We're working on some new stuff though.

There are two main problems:
Lack of fixing the problems like Lords, escort-quests and all that stuff TSAdmin already stated.
Lack of good entertainment. I am not only talking about Events, I am talking about activity in kingdoms, role-playing and such.
There are many trials who could become paying customers, but why should they?
It's nearly impossible for low level players to get interesting items or improve their items.
I didn't see any EA or IWD the last couple of weeks in the shops. The same goes for recipes. The focus for players is only to level and to trade from each other.

We do not have the resources to constantly churn out updates. As Majin stated, Stephen has a career to which he must attend first, and I am keeping a 4.0 GPA in a university. We are also all volunteers, we try very hard to update the server consistently as volunteers, and we are not asking to be paid, we're only asking for cooperation and understanding from our community.

I have made more than a few attempts to get help: posting threads about hiring scripters, graphic artists, level artists, and even administrator positions in an attempt to gain more help; only one or two people even apply, and of those couple of people, there is rarely anyone who is actually talented enough to help or who will actually stick around to help.

We have plans for serious updates, and I have made plans for GK that would make it soar to success, but unfortunately turning a plan into something requires more than just saying it.

If you want to help the development process on Graal Kingdoms, please contact me privately and I would be more than happy to consider you.
