The story of me being "hacked"
Ok ok.. I want to put an end to all these theories to what just happened and put the record straight. I found it quite a supprise when I got flooded with 5 people IMing me, asking me why I was posting obscene and pornographic images on the forums, I didn't know why myself, but it wasn't me.
A week or two back I recieved an IM from someone nicely dubbed "Fat Tony" (who is actually Viper) with his "concerns" about my website. This self proclaimed e-gangster said that if I didn't allow a certain website (which was plastered all around the forums an hour ago) to be regsitered on the topsites, I would be dealt with. Needless to say, I didn't care, "ignored all warnings" and something was going to happen to me, this was the person who was on my account.
My account information was leaked by Fogles from the website that he ran and "hacked" (link removed for safety-ask from other means what the site is). Anyone who registered to that forum is under threat, whether it be you registered to it with your Graal password or registered to it with the password to your e-mail address. If you registered to it with something not related to anything else, you'll be fine.
These people can't hack your passwords unless you do something stupid. I've said before and I'll say it again, they are not hackers. The only thing they're good with is phishing passwords, that's all they do. Do not give in to any threats you might recieve, just ignore them. Do not worry yourselves as to think they're going to end Graal as this is not going to happen. My advice is stay away from any website that is not verfied as being safe by the staff on Graal.
I'd like to thank Crono, Killerrogue, Matt, Kiirar, Kuji and Door who IM'd me and Jellyfish, Cheetos and Moonie for sorting things out. If any of the staff want to know more about this team then I'm quite happy to fill you in. |
