I have been dealing with pets recently, it's been a while and looking at them i realise, all you can do is pet and feed them.
and if it's a horse, ride them.
Why not create some pet toys at the hirithia wood shop / clothes shop?
such as a ball, where if you put on the ground the pet will , i dunno, fetch it? kick it, whatever you can do with balls these days, pardon the expression lol
Maybe even get some pet cloths?
People do actually dress up their pets in real life, personally i find it cruel giving a dog cloths as it would be distressing in summer, but it won't matter on graal, especially since there is no RSPCA kicking about
It would be cool giving your squirrel pet a hat or something, give your monkey some cool sun shades
and your horse some special made armour to ride in style with. and it can be a case of dragging and dropping, and a typing command to make the items reappear in your inventory.
