Let me start off by saying I'm not here to get flamed.
The Graal community requested more information when I posted a while back, but we were only getting started at the time. Icarus has moved a long way since then, so I thought I'd come back and let everyone know how we are doing, and where we are going.
Icarus is not your average modern, nor is it a look alike. We intend to include everything and anything from a modern-fantasy world. When I say fantasy, I mean that we have been working on purchasable mechs, and quests to unlock hidden player potential (magic?).
Magic on a modern? It can be done.
Like I said, I'm not here to be flamed so don't start, just wait to see. We are set up with a 1500 level overworld, which includes 4 different islands that have different geology. Our goal is to accomodate everyone, without branching off into different time periods or worlds.
Fantasy aside, we also intend to make the server as real and involved as possible. For instance, the economy is under the works to include inflation, and interest earning investments in the stock market. Industrial suppliers will recieve raw materials, then supply smaller businesses they need to make their products. Every business will be purchasable by players, big or small. Note that the biggest difference you will see here is that everything has a background or back story, aka a point to existance. The server will have substance rather than PK only. No mistakes however, there is a very strong combat/pk base as well.
Our current server name is Icarus Dev, so if you have gold, feel free to stop by. I'm open to questions and ideas, but once again, no flames please. I'd like to know what else players would like to see here.
