speed problems

okay i dont know if this is the correct place to post it, but since its come to an extent where stefan has called me a "speed hacker" i wanna know if anyone else is having the same problem. I have had this problem once in graal bomy moon (where it originally started). When it came out to public again, one day after I logged into the server I had this tremendous speed increase. I dont know why, I dont know how. I realized it wasnt the server, but i realized thats how it started. I logged into npulse where i work and i realized the speed continued, I went to UN, and the same. I fixed it by restarting my computer acouple of times. Now a week later after it was fixed, the problem comes back, this time i restart, restart, restart and nothing seems to be working. I have this speed and it looks like im hacking. I keep getting accused of being a hacker.

Was this problem mentioned before on threads? I dont seem to find it, or im not looking to good. Or has anyone had it before? I dont know what the problem is. I am not hacking obviously, otherwise i wouldnt be posting it here. But i want it fixed, I dont want to end up being banned on a server for something i didnt do.. i tryed asking lyndzey for help, lance, but nobody knows what the problem is..

Sounds like you may have a backround program called a 'trainer' running. Normally Graal doesn't start if the 'trainer' is open, however, you can normally run a 'trainer' after graal has loaded. My advice would be to find this 'trainer' and push the X button.
Anyway real advice: It's most likely a problem between the 'pause' times in the script. Try un-installing and re-downloading graal yet? If that doesn't work, look for that 'trainer'

trust me its not a trainer, i dont even go into websites that involve graal hacking, i dont open third party programs, and besides i just reformatted my computer about 2 days ago, my computer is clean, z_z i checked ctrl alt delete to see what processes i have running, and the ones i have running are not a threat (as i dont see it) bah

Maybe your frame rate isn't limiting? I think Graal limits it to 20. Does it look like everything is in fast forward, or is it just your player moving fast?

I would just like to point out, for the record, that using trainers is NOT hacking. Script kiddies do not get credit for being hackers. Thank you, that is all.

Its not just you, I've had this happen to me and I've seen it in others on Classic several times. Its only the player moving faster but according to speed logs they aren't outside any speed limits. Yet at the same time reports will come in from others that so and so is speed hacking. I've noticed it mainly affects staff that are off tag at the time but its not limited to just staff. Its most annoying when you have a player asking for help with their speed problem while at the same time you have other players demanding that person be banned when its obvious to you that its not a trainer. Usually its of a speed thats visually borderline, they just seem to be moving slightly faster than others. If you have them run a side by side race with another player, normally they aren't actually moving much, if any faster.

I have no idea how you can run into this after re-formating. It has never happened to me.

Maybe post your computer specs?

In WoW it has also happened sometimes. It had to do something with certain gfx cards or something.

It's a glitch in the system.

speed problem?.. try Crystal Meth

Anyhow, I actualy had this problem once I considered it to be a fluke and didn't look into this. But I guess this thread should be closed and you should post your system information, graal.log and other relevant information in a read-able order within the "Graal4 Bugs section"

It's neither a trainer nor a hardware problem, it's a speedhack program running in the backround and manipulating the Windows timers by hooking the functions for retrieving the time. On Bomy Lands the logs say that you (ir1337) moved faster than normal for several hours. Speed hack normally means 30 days ban, so find the program before you get banned.
