Tile Effects

more of a game engine scripting feature suggestion, but one that applies to 3d terrain, so its still a GK suggestiom:

Tile effects:

it would be cool if via an npc a png, gani, light effect etc, could be allied to the terrain tiles, so if you applied it to tile coord 4,5 loc, instead of flat it would bend like tiles along the terrain.

This would be especially cool for light effects, like casting a ward spell that creates a glowing blue protection circle, or a flaming red penticle.

optionally, a -z value could make it appear raised off the ground by somewhat, like a mist effect. (that may not be practical because you wouldn't know which objects it would draw over/under.)

It could be used to make effects like water spilling from a bucket and flowing down a hill.

"Why, of course! It's just a name, like the Death Zone or the Zone of No Return. All the zones have names like that in the Galaxy of Terror."

For light effects it would probably be better to use the existing light effects stuff, you don't see the difference. But it could be interesting to 'lay' images onto the 3D terrain, instead of changing the tileset and setting tile by tile.
