Thumbs down Jagen's RP event

Wow, that was not the worst event in the world. However, it had the worst results in the world.

Firstly, about the winners. Team 3....a team that for a start couldn't even obey the rules of the server.
A)They started swearing
B)They started whining and complaining about a perfectly good scenario
C)They started insulting the judges
D)They couldn't even finish their performance because they decided to go off and start swearing at the judges

Then we come to Team 7. They were quite good, they deserved to be in the top 3

Then we come to Team 9....who had a pirate that used a tower shield and a zormite blade...and nobody knew what the heck was going on. There was quite a bit of plot deviation, i mean sereously, wren was off doing her own thing, driken didn't say a single thing and didn't do a lot so after a while i just didn't pay him any attention. And then dax and Ashtin did most of it, which was quite good other than dax's complete disregard for the plot and the character he was supposed to be, and the lack of logic in his equipment.

99% of you will probably just regard this thread with the comment "Bah, he's just jealous that he didn't win", which makes me sad, really. I'm not bitter about losing, i'm bitter about some of those people winning...i lose a lot of things, i'm used to it by now; when i enter events, i expect to lose. And I only complain when there is something substantial to complain about, and this is substantial.

Also, it wasn't very good how most of the judges just started messing about instead of keeping the event moving and paying attention to performances.

Ps. Thanks v. much for the event, jagen. It was still real fun to take part in and it went well except for the results
Well done for everyone who took part, it just shows you that there are some decent RPers out there...stop hiding under your rocks and come and become kickass RPers with the GK Kingdoms

1.) The judges decided to take group 3's performance before they spazzed, I didn't want to but it was 3 against 1
2.) Team 7 was a close 4th place
3.) How can you vote on clothes/equipment when you didn't know the topic beforehand, they only had 5 minutes to prepare, you can't run to a house for equipment and back in 5 minutes.

1)Uh, but you were the host of the event, right? Oh well, democracy overrules i guess =S

2)I thought they came in like second or something?

3)Uh, i'm not saying you should have voted on clothing and equipment. I'm saying you should've voted on the way that the person roleplayed his character.
Dax knew he was to be a pirate, he wanted to be the pirate. Despite what he was wearing (a zormite shield and zormite blade) he -roleplayed- that he had a tower shield and zormite blade. A pirate with a zormite blade is a nono for obvious reasons, and a pirate with a tower shield is stupid; he wouldn't even be able to get off his boat. He should have RPed having a buckler and sabre or dagger or something...that would have been very good

Why would they do that? thats just stupid, sure they were great Rpers... But thats like me saving 3 people then killing 2... Should the police say "well, he did save 3, lets let him win the event" I demand a recount.

Hmm. Jagen held the event...he took like 5 hours of his own time to hold the event. He gained what from it? Nothing. Nothing at all. I think you people should be glad he took that large ammount of time from his time to do something like that for you guys.

Don't be idiots.

Spark910 has a spectacular aura about
I agree with the above.
This event was different, and only done once before. So you may not like it or have played it before. He took alot of time working it out. I went to sleep and woke up and there was still talk about the event, so he put alot of time into it.

It sounded like a good event, and a very good one as it was fair in the sence of player stats. Well I can see your problem if that was true, breaking the rules, but I guess the Judges picked the winners, and they won.

Maybe they will be excluded next time, or chucked out if they do the same.

Personally seriously some of the rp judges were really some times getting on my nerves, there comments could some times be taken as insults and as how they laughted at us all wasn't funny.

Omf, yeah. I think one member of team 3 said that like, the reason they went crazy was because the judges were sitting there guildmessaging like "Omg, i'm bored" and stuff o_o

And then hurumi went around saying stuff like "I'm high" and then "It must have been all that lipgloss i ate". I mean wts, get back to the event you dork...

And Markb, i am glad he held it! It was a fun event, and fun to watch too after we'd performed, as i did actually say in my first post. I was just saying, that the results were a bit on the poopy side X_X

Erm well duh... when i heard of the event i made some stuff in-case that... attributes, ya know? That Pirate Sabre i used, and a mace, and all sorts of stuff. It isn't that hard -_-

MarkB's right though. On the other hand... perhaps some had better changes because of scenario, and all that sorta stuff... i don't know, i only saw my and Team 3's show.

Team 3 did great though See, newbies do own us all.

Heh and the reason my team (team 2) lost is really easy, i saw it losing when we were playing o.o; i didn't even touch the undead cult leader and he already died - oh wait must be my magical aura :P

Yup, they were doing awesome. But just because of this, the fact they went crazy up the walls should not have been ignored

And nah, we did well. I just think the reason we didn't win was because we didn't add enough detail, even though ours ran smoothly and was entertaining. Oh well, you can't please 'em all
