Help my sterile horses!

Blarg, if this thread isnt supposed to go in this forum then sue me, i couldnt justify a place for it anywhere else.

Ok, i got a white horse and a brown horse. Both adult, both fully fed, both like be to 100%. Got them sitting in my house, and i've been trying ALL DAY to get them to breed. I get them close to each other and play the breed song over and over and over, but nothing happens apart from the occasional face from one of them. Tell me what the heck I'm doing wrong!
