Managers working as staff?

I found something disturbing while I was on 2k1. I saw Chrisz with an RC. Last I heard Chrisz was still manger of Era.

Shouldn't Chrisz keep his attention on Era and not 2k1? He cant do both because he can hardly do his job on Era.

I'm just bringing this to everyone's attention. I dont think Managers should be staffers on other servers.

last i heard managers were only allowed to manage a server and not work elsewhere

i have RCs on other server, but i can competently manage mine

and my only other RC is on a dev server, allong with a UC Pw which i soon cant access

I see Tyhm working on kingdoms.

I see other managers working on other servers.

Chrisz is a very imaginative developer and has quite a few good ideas for 2k1 which I have approved the creation of. He is currently working on some very interesting baddies for an upcoming quest - you will see it yourself when the quest is opened.

I'm only helping because.. i WANT to?? -_- Tseng helped us on Era, so I want to help Tseng... And besides i dont want to change anything on 2k1.. i like 2k1 the way it is.. :| I played it before I made Era... Everything I do is either accepted by Tseng or under his command.. :| And as for doing my job badly on Era? Haha, yeah.. you don't see half the stuff I do on RC, so far we expanded the overworld.. ALOT.. (with thanks to Dell for making all those levels o.o) and are working on 4 more quests.. :| Ones more active and involving than the first.. and i wont go into detail about that here.. anyway... thats my rant.

2) I see one of his quests

I've personaly givien up on playing/wanting to help 2k1. It's quality will never bee the same or go above any other playerworld. From my experance with Crhisz, you did nothing to era but piss off alot of the erlier staff and act like a newbeh.

I have a general love for Graal... and a general love for 2k1. 2k1 has potential to be the greatest server, but you cant have a great server without great staff.

Distracts make great staff worse staff. I have nothing against Chrisz being staff (just him being manager)... I just want to make sure that his priorities are straight.

I'd love to have Chrisz as staff on 2k1. But he needs to choose Era or 2k1.

Except that Tyhm's official title is a global one (i have no clue what he's called, behind the scenes GM maybe), not manager of classic

He should choose 2k1 I would work there my self but I'm the manager of sanstrata and we are going up soon.

Accounts Admin, by its nature, is such a demanding job, so much more demanding than any management position, that it is not feasible for someone to be both accounts admin and some other job.

Who cares? If you can work competently on both, why does it matter?
If I want to work for like 20 servers, and they are happy with my work, why does it matter? Only people who care are those who whine they can't get a job. If managers have problems with people working for them, then they don't get RC or hired, or a guest RC to help. Seriously people, it's not a big deal >.<

Tyhm cannot even be compared to normal staff, for a enourmous number of reasons.

Personally, Era could be improved in way more ways then one...if Angel stayed with it, would have already been done...ah well.

Ah, but who assesses this? It's simple if a scripter wants to work on multiple servers; the managers can fire him if he becomes inactive. It's less simple if a manager chooses to spread his attention, because who will fire the manager if he forsakes his playerworld?

That's the problem, he is purportedly inactive on Era most of the time, only spending time on his gang. And for the record, I've yet to see you work competently on one server.

Incorrect. The people who also whine are the neglected players and/or staff of the playerworld that they slack off on, and it does happen.

What's the problem? That's why servers generally have 2 managers. Chrisz's counterpart in this case is Angel.

Well I dont think Angel is there anymore. Last I herd it was Ningnorg was his co-manager.

Tyhm is the admin of Graal (I think) and he left Classic in like December.

If Chris still devotes a lot of time to Era, I think it's fine. I would like to know what job Chrisz is doing, because developer will require too much time on 2001...

The problem has already been stated. The 2K1 job stands to distracts him from Era to an unacceptable degree. Saying 'hey, the other manager can take the slack' misses the point entirely. If he's not working then he should not be employed.

Nemesis became the Classic Manager when he became the Classic GM.

Tyhm does everything, he's a global admin.

From reading this post I concluded that Nem isn't Classic GM anymore (right?) and that there isn't a replacement. So therefore his words are STILL valid.

Chrisz couldn't manage Era well because his time was on Panther International. We can go through and look at his projects that he started for Era. Some of which include the EXP System, Hotkey System, etc.

Project Shifter... I dont need nor want a job on 2k1. What I want is for 2k1 to survive, nothing more. Which is why I'm asking Chrisz to set his priorities. Era or 2k1.

This is actually against the rules, Managers are not supposed to free lance around, the odd thing helping I suppose is fine, but when you are considered a 'helper' its not good as you may not be able to help on your PW as much, and staff may complain and want you replaced if you are helping else where =(
