Post A new climate idea?

I dunno if you've ever played the game where you have to stop the people from lighting the light houses and you have a father that died during an earth quake and your named Isaac. any ways thats enough about that but if you've ever been in the desert in that game its really cool with torando monsters, quick sand, and sand whirl pools not to mention climable clifs and bosses. when i saw this almost 6 months ago i thought that this would be really cool in a game. and now i thought it would be cool to add this adding giant scorpians, desert dragons, giant birds. it would add so much depth to the game not to mention fun. if anything i think this should be a whole seperate island directly north of the main isle.
If you ask me i would think this to be a great adventure. the island would support no rulers and many new resources for the alchemy items that only alchemists could harvest using a special skill. also if this were to happen then we could add weather effects such as a sandstorm because the desert climate is an extreme of cool at night and hot in day. this might have to be incorperated but hold on a sec. basically hindering people from staying there you would constantly have to drink water and if your speed is over 1.6 it would be reduced to that making it fair to all people. also night would be slightly easier with out the water but you would need somthing else to keep warm. this way people would be limited and alchemy items would not over flow. this is also a fairly easy way to add day and night. the day and night process is fairly easy in itself just using the shading/lighting.
The monsters would of course have to react to this but there is an easy way around this. If you make some nocturnal monsters and whats the word for day time animals X_X then you could easily switch on and off. the animals could go back to lairs such as caves, holes and crevices. i think that this type of logic around all the islands (minus the heat/cold factor maybe in dungoens though somthing could be made like this??) should be inplemented. the only problem with other things is the seasons... any ways i think this could be somthing to add more demension to kingdoms i hope you guys like the idea =D

i never played the game where your name is isaac to this point, but i really like the idea and i think its possible to script it
i think it should be combined with the weather effects...
also, climate should affect the farming

That's a good idea - I've been hoping for proper weather for quite a while, including rain and fog, and a desert with sandstorms and night/day seems a good start. Besides, I think GK could use some different climatic zones - say, cold with snow tiles, it's snowing and you get the occasional blizzard, dropped items turn to ice if left for a few minutes in the snow... normal climate as it's now, just with rain and fog - rain maybe affecting farming... and desert, faster digestion combined with water bringing food +100 in that regions only, all the other food dropping to 25 or so, armour slows you down more... As addition, what about making everyone in the cold regions attuned ice, repelled fire, and vice versa in the deserts. For a start, I think the mountains would do for the cold region, and the island right from Hotaru might work as a desert. Kingdom leaders (if active) should be able to decide whether to put a larger polar region and desert on their kingdom, or, even better, every kingdom gets one with just one ingredients for some recipe each - dragons, madmen etc in the deserts, trolls, orcs and so on the the polars... further making it necessary to travell to other islands.

you know i just relized i just totally defeated reason of my last post X_X....that says somthing any ways i just think it should be a little bit more realistic...perhaps a more balanced combat like DND so you can get special abilities and be able to use them effectivly X_X

[edit]maybe if they make a one player kingdoms game *please do please do it would be great* they could make it so that combat is 3d like in this game and you have a 2-d looking (sorta like kingdoms) regualar play...certain classes cant use certain things like isaac is earth attuned there for he is strongest when using earth djinni and is using the favored earth blade (which i belive is a great sword) a fire would have an axe and im not sure about wind and water (both i think staffs) of course that leaves maces.... i guess those go to the alchemy guys any ways if you havent gotton what im saying: i dont think a wizard should carry a bastard sword and a barbarian casting a staff/wand/rod and i dont think a fighter should either.

I have to admit I don't really get your idea... I think different climatic zones with certain effects would make GK a more diverse and fun place - I think having a house in the polar region of my kingdom would be fun, too... if something like temperature was instated, affecting digestion and health... and an oven was avaliable for the house... well, anyway...
