I am deciding if I should still continue to make the HIDDEN "Renegade". Well I am going to tell you teh ideas and post what we have. First off, this is going to be TURN BASED. Yes amazing huh? It is possible so if anyone says it isn;'t I will rip their tounge out. Ok! Also, it's going to be an RPG but not RPG ruled, hard to explain, but it's gonna have EXP LVLS and skills etc and cut scene battle scenes, BUT we're not gonna cut out player interactivity. Also, we might even make parties. Party as in you can join another player and fight battles with him. But when you SPAR other players, you don't use the battle screen mode. You do Regular Graal mode. We are designing a new battle system, and we have a new way of leveling up. We're gonna make it so when you start, you have to fill out what your name is like all classic RPGs and thats what your naem will ALWAYS be so we don't get spammers etc. And you choose what you look like, but don't plan on changing your looks unless you buy clothes and armor etc. The way you encounter monsters might be different, because I hate it wen yur trying to explore then all of a sudden a battle appears ya know? And we might even have a little battle card system. Not sure how that will be run yet. We have gotten somewhere on the tileset and havent' really worked cause I just decided today I might give it another shot. We'll get working hard on this once we know the opinions...

O and all platforms are in smallest form for a reason. So don't be narrow headed and think they'll always be that small.

lol *newsflash* Graal isn't isometric. How do you plan on using those tiles effectively?

Sorry, needed to redo my post. Anyway, my Graphic Sniffer(tm) says that water "tile" in the bitmap file come from Zelda 3. Please take a look at my attached example. Other than that, I think the graphics look nice

Those are Shavo Mombetto's tiles that he was making for a MMPORG that was cancelled.. he's currently working for Renegade.

And remeber graal couldn't do 2002 until it was changed to do so, and if Renegade is good enough, Stefan may be willing to code graal to work for them, like NW did (Didnt they as it was all different?)

*Please note you may loose your dignity, but its worth it, inside you'll know you did best, just go for it, it will change graal forever, so do it!

I suppose you are going for a server like Final Fantasy Tactics? The squire picture is almost the same as FFT's squire.

You're so right. The guys look near identical and they would be wearing the same exact outfit except the FF tactics guy has a brown shirt on underneath so his arms are brown instead of bare.

I say give up on this project before you waste any more time. People are already spotting obvious referenced materials from your art, the idea you have isn't really original, and you're not going to get a good isometric style unless Stefan were to hardcode a new isometric system into Graal for you.

My advice would be to stop looking at other games, and get some paper and a pencil and start writing down/drawing your own ideas and thoughts for an rpg. Instead of just taking bits and pieces from a bunch of games and then calling it your own work. Sure, I play other RPG's for idea inspiration, but I don't go and copy their artwork to look nearly identical. I just get ideas based off of the gameplay.

A strategy server similar to Final Fantasy Tactics/Tactics Ogre would be fun though.
Although, it would probably work better as a very intricate mini-game/side quest. :|

Seems like you just resized the small character by 200% and then traced it or something... then went back in and made the pixelation smooth, changed the eye position, and gave him different hair.
