Idea: The Five Wizards..

Instead of HAVING to use the ferry's there should be wizards or witches on each Isle. Like.. there's a wizard whom you'd pay 3 plat to cast a spell and warp you to the isle of your choice's main town (Zormite's is Redril, Main's is Bomboria.. etc..)
There's a different Wizard on each isle.

If this idea was made.. it would be fun if the wizards had about 100 different things that they would randomly say while putting a spell on you.. like "Alakazam, Alakazoo! Here's a spell, now AWAY WITH YOU!"

Hrmm, Maybe that could be something, but since it's quicker and cheaper there could maybe be a small random chance of something bad happening or getting warped to the wrong place. Or even you are just randomly warped to one of the islands.

5 onlineplayers must have the spell town portal and they must cast it on like a for ex. platinum coin? they all cast it on the item and then a portal opens. Double click to enter will last 10 minutes.

and then you pick a town i suppose

Whats wrong with the ferrys as they are? I like being on boats when I don't have to drive. :P The only thing I think that might make the ferries a little more interesting is if you got on the ferry and the driver NPC asks you what dock you want to go to. Then a little map pops up and lets you choose what town to take you to. Say from Samurai to the the far side of Tarnthia for 15p. Samurai to Dustari for 20p. Farther the dock distance, more plat you pay.

Selzar relying on players to warp you from town to town will never work. At the early AM times most of the server is under level 5. I believe town portal is lvl 10. It would be cool though for kingdom wars to have a few godly magis portal/warp the first wave of infantry on the island, the rest come by warboats.

Well I'm not for player wizards teleporting people around... the last thing I need is for people to bother me constantly to portal them places...

Hmm... Wizards instead of ferrys is a good idea... but would make Graal Kingdoms too magic oriented...... too much magic is bad... but too much physical only stuff is bad too...

Maybe as an alternative to the Unstick thing - that kinda kills RP when the instructions are Ring the bell then unstick to the castle...

unstick me should recognize the tiles your on if you are on walkable tiles then unstick me wont work if you are on an unwalkable terrain then unstick me works

I think it would have to check for NPC's too, but otherwise.....

The lower leveled the players magic is the more chance something could go horribly, horribly wrong

I suppose it could work like PSO's telepipes, neh? It's a good system.

It stays open until the creator returns through it (or after a certain time period in the case that the player doesn't intend to go back).

It would be so great to see people opening up portals about the isle .. that'd be fun.
