Re: Playerworld quiz!

1 - b) lots of content

2 - c) name doesn't matter

3 - This is a toughie. I like organized roleplaying, but if it has classes, I instantally say "wtf no"

4 - a) yes (Graal Classic, if you consider that a playerworld. Otherwise...) b) no

5 - I don't know what you mean, no answer.

6 - b) simple, as in Classic-like. None of this "new stuff"

7- a) yes, or at least a hint as to where the first quest is.

8 - a) yes, and when you beat a quest, where to go next. Or at least sombody to give you hints (Like the king in classic)

9 - a) lots of content

10 - a) yes

11 - a) items and valuables. I like graal for graal, not for an MMORPG wannabe.

12 - a) futuristic, otherwise I don't care.

13 - a) yes

14 - a) spend tons of time there

15 - b) "the graphics aren't THAT bad, maybe the rest might be better" GRAPHICS DON'T MAKE THE GAME, THE GAME MAKES THE GAME.

16 - b) open

17 - a) yes I like to feel I own things if I work hard for them

18 - b) playerworld with lots of updates but no events, if events are considered games. If they have dynamic RP events (Like the fall of Destiny,) then a).

19 - b) restrictions are a bad idea

20 - a) half empty

21 - How big is a foot?

22 - The square root of a piece of pie? That's absurd, eddy!

23 - Your mom.

24 - Your mom.

25 - Uh, your mom?

26 - 36.

27 - a) yes

28 - d) because I'm bored.

29 - d) no

30 - c) The cookie jar never existed. It is just a figment of our imagination. We are in the Matrix!

HoudiniMan will become famous soon enough
1. What do you look for most in a playerworld? (select ONE)
these two go hand in hand for a large part, look at UN's crappy staff and how their community is all misfits
c) commited staff
d) good community

2. Do playerworlds with hard to pronounce names turn you away?
b) no - not really, but i wind up making up my own spelling and pronunciation... i'm sure the owner would like people to be able to know how the name they thought hard and long on is actually pronounced

3. Which style of playerworld do you prefer? (select ONE)
c) mix of both

4. Do you think any playerworld has been a truely great playerworld? If yes, which playerworld?
a) yes old old N-pulse (counting by overworld re-do's) [the one that was around when g2k1 was introduced]

5. If a playerworld has an out of control playerbase, is it the fault of the staff, or the fault of the server?
a) staff [b) server? how could it be the level's and script's fault? thats all a server is]

6. Do you prefer things complex but more ellaborate, or simpler yet less in-depth?
a) complex

7. Would an instructional guide be helpful when you first start playing a new playerworld?
b) no - but the playerworld should have quests with a suitable story line and what not to point you towards where you have to go

8. Do you feel playerworlds should give a better indication as to what direction you should take when you first arrive on the server?
a) yes

9. Would you rather play a pw with lots of content, or one with a good community?
x)both.

10. Do staff actions make you change your mind about playing the server? (ie staff being corrupt, unfair, etc)
a) yes - ie: UN

11. Would you rather gain items and valuables, or levels and stats?
b) levels and stats

12. Which time period would you prefer a pw to have?
e) other (Graal is spread across a lot of time periods in every "non themed" server as far as a chronographic point of view would be concerned... i think "Graal" themed is best)

13. Do "D jobs" make a playerworld less appealing?
b) no - but they can get monotonous

14. Would you devote lots of playing time towards a playerworld if you enjoyed playing there, or would you still only play casually?
a) spend tons of time there - may be spread across several playerworlds where i like to play or have obligation to do so because of a staff position

15. If the graphics for a playerworld are really bad, what usually goes through your mind about that pw?
x) "they need to improve the graphics a lot, maybe i can find their GAT admin and give him some refrences"

16. If the player was based around roleplaying, would you prefer a restricted class system, or an open class system? (restricted means warrior can't use magic, etc. open means warrior can learn anything and classes don't really matter as much)
b) open

17. Does the idea of owning land and ingame objects (like houses and pets that roam the land, type of ingame) make you want to play a pw more?
a) yes I like to feel I own things if I work hard for them

18. Would you rather have a playerworld that holds events, or a playerworld that has lots of updates but no events?
a) playerworld with events - only if these were extreamly fun and not your run-of-the-mill "ctf" or something of that caliber

19. What is your opinion on playerworlds setting requirements such as needing lighting effects to play? (as in the playerworld would be better if you were forced to use lights, and worse if you weren't forced to use lights)
x) i don't think you can really "force" somebody to use lights, but they'd only be hurting their own experience but not using them. maybe they can't support lights on their computer while they play.

20. Is the glass half empty, or half full?
x) the glass contains half of it's maximum volume of water

21. How many feet in a mile? 5280

22. What is the square root of a piece of pie? (piece of pie)^1/2

23. Who was the second gunman on the grassy knoll? Bill Cosby

24. Who shot JR? see above.

25. When does this quiz end? you tell me

26. If Billy has 10 cookies and Dave steals 3, how many cookies will Billy have? Why does Dave only take 3? Did Billy intentionally allow Dave to steal 3 cookies as part of an ellaborate plot to pin the blame on Dave, when in reality, the entire cookie ordeal is being presented so that the public will not catch on to the government consipiracy, which is so obviously being witheld by Billy himself? What if Dave took the cookies to give to the needy, kind of like a modern day robin hood. Would you think of him as a thief? Why is Billy so blind to not notice Dave swiping THREE cookies from him? Will these questions ever end? possibly.

27. Are you still answering these questions?
a) yes

28. WHY are you still answering these questions?
x) i pitty you and i don't want to make you feel bad by not answering

29. Would playing on a modern day playerworld make you feel like you had one?
x) huh? like i personally had one? like i'm the owner o.O probably not.

30. Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?
x) uh... 42?

All of these answers are without any peeking

1. What do you look for most in a playerworld? (select ONE)
b) lots of content
(Why else would I bother to come again?)

2. Do playerworlds with hard to pronounce names turn you away?
b) no
(In fact, they attract me, so long as they mean something)

3. Which style of playerworld do you prefer? (select ONE)
(I can't answer that because neither really draws me, but of the two, action is better)

4. Do you think any playerworld has been a truely great playerworld? If yes, which playerworld?
a) yes (Valikorlia in its glory days many moons ago...)

5. If a playerworld has an out of control playerbase, is it the fault of the staff, or the fault of the server?

c) both
(If the players are using trainers et cetera they're probably bored...the server's fault. But it is the staff's fault for creating the boredom that ususually causes cheating, and for not enforcing rules)

6. Do you prefer things complex but more ellaborate, or simpler yet less in-depth?

a) complex

7. Would an instructional guide be helpful when you first start playing a new playerworld?
(Yes if the playerworld includes complex features, no if not)

8. Do you feel playerworlds should give a better indication as to what direction you should take when you first arrive on the server?

b) no

9. Would you rather play a pw with lots of content, or one with a good community?
a) lots of content
(Though a good community is good, the reason I go on a playerworld is to peruse the content)

10. Do staff actions make you change your mind about playing the server? (ie staff being corrupt, unfair, etc)

a) yes

11. Would you rather gain items and valuables, or levels and stats?

a) items and valuables

(Levels and statistics are ick. Create horrid balance problems)

12. Which time period would you prefer a pw to have?

e) other (short explanation please)

(Any will do, though pseudomedieval is getting sort of boring. I much prefer the mixed styles of newmain and classic. I would really like a real medieval server without a bunch of unrealistic stuff. Modern servers are fun too *cougheracough* and I await Oasis)

13. Do "D jobs" make a playerworld less appealing?

(D jobs are both good and bad.)

14. Would you devote lots of playing time towards a playerworld if you enjoyed playing there, or would you still only play casually?

b) only play casually there
(I have to make time for main servers, which are usually better)

15. If the graphics for a playerworld are really bad, what usually goes through your mind about that pw?

(A bit of A and a bit of B)

16. If the player was based around roleplaying, would you prefer a restricted class system, or an open class system? (restricted means warrior can't use magic, etc. open means warrior can learn anything and classes don't really matter as much)

b) open
(Classes are overused, usually stereotyped, and create a balance nightmare)

17. Does the idea of owning land and ingame objects (like houses and pets that roam the land, type of ingame) make you want to play a pw more?

a) yes I like to feel I own things if I work hard for them

(You can find my bias in my sig, but...newmain am yum)

18. Would you rather have a playerworld that holds events, or a playerworld that has lots of updates but no events?

(Both and/or a mixture)

19. What is your opinion on playerworlds setting requirements such as needing lighting effects to play? (as in the playerworld would be better if you were forced to use lights, and worse if you weren't forced to use lights)

b) restrictions are a bad idea
(Light effects give me problems, even though I just got my computer last month and it's pretty much top of the line)

20. Is the glass half empty, or half full?

(Both, though preference would go to half full if its natural state is empty)

21. How many feet in a mile?
Five thousand, two hundred and eighty.

22. What is the square root of a piece of pie?

Insufficient data, but the square root of pi for pi=3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399 37510582097494459230781640628620899862803482534211 70679821480865132823066470938446095505822317253594 08128481117450284102701938521105559644622948954930 38196442881097566593344612847564823378678316527120 19091456485669234603486104543266482133936072602491 41273724587006606315588174881520920962829254091715 36436789259036001133053054882046652138414695194151 16094330572703657595919530921861173819326117931051 18548074462379962749567351885752724891227938183011 9491298336733624 is

Thank you, Powertoy Calculator.

23. Who was the second gunman on the grassy knoll?

John Lee Malvo, and may he burn in hell. Well, maybe he wasn't on a grassy knoll, but he still was the second gunman and deserves to burn in the flames of hell if they exist.

24. Who shot JR?
Kristen

25. When does this quiz end?
Ex post facto relative to question thirty.

Seven, guilty conscience, perhaps, possibly, yes, he's a *****, yes.

27. Are you still answering these questions?
a) yes

28. WHY are you still answering these questions?

c) all of the above

29. Would playing on a modern day playerworld make you feel like you had one?

c) definitely

30. Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?

busyrobot is on a distinguished road
1) C results in A B and D

2) A - It hurts the Cause

3) C

4) B, sorry

5) A is responsible for B

6) A if the staff know how to DOCUMENT FEATURES (pet peeve #49)

7) A - YES YES YES

8) A - There should be newbie help

9) A - if the content isn't all SPARRING ARENAS (pet peeve #23)

10) A - some staff sucks and throw you in jail for now reason

11) B

12) C

13) Explain a D job please!

14) A - to a degree

15) Bad graphics kills the atmosphere - I don't play for the Atari nostalgia

16) b - open if done well

17) A - if player houses and SPARRING ARENAS don't dominate all the landscape, creating tons of empty, aimless wandering from ghost town to ghost town (pet peeves #23 and #27)

18) updates are more important, but events shouldn't be totally sacrificed.

19) light is good

20) half full - as descriptions are used to describe variations on what is normal, then the glass would normally be called empty, and is altered to be full, or half full. As a glass is a glass, and is implicitly empty (when told to 'imagine a glass' you picture an empty glass... right?), than to modify the 'glass' when describing a glass containing some liquid, you modify it with the action of 'filling it'. Therefore, unequivicably, 'half-full' can be the only true answer, as it is the partial completion of the action.

21 - 30) Now that's just not very nice
