Graal Newsletter

First I have to say I can't wait to receive the first newsletter. I will print it out and save it forever and ever .

I also got some questions for on how the newsletters will work.
  • Will the newsletter's have an archive feature so people can go and read older issues?

Hmm, This doesnt really matter to me but I think some people may want to know.
  • Is there going to be a VIP only newsletter?

If there isn't there should be. I think more people would want to get VIP membership if they get a special newsletter.
  • Will they be sent on a regular basis or just when you at Linux Cyberjoueurs thinks there should be one sent?

I think it should be on a regular basis. I think once or twice a week should suffice my curriosities(sp?).

An archive would be really nice, incase someone looses the e-mail and wants to read again, or for people who just recently joined Graal. A VIP newsletter would be great too, a nice way to keep up on dev stuff, and other things VIP only . As far as getting the newsletter once or twice a week, that's a bit much IMO, maybe once or twice a month, if it's sceduled, and not just sent out when needed.

I'll be heading up the newsletter department. Yes there will be archives on the site with all the old newsletters. The VIP thing is interesting. Will have to wait and talk with Unixmad about his plans for VIP.

The newsletter is planned to be a weekly thing. It will basically contain several things:

1) Short information about the previous week.
2) Information about the plans for the current week.
3) Editorials done by staff and players.
4) Updates and things from the Cyberjoueurs team (like bug fixes to the exe, new features, future plans)
5) Art contests, story contests, other types of contests (prizes would be stuff like added hours to your p2p account, or a item from the graal store)

If a VIP issue were to be made, it would probably contain all of this, and also include other sections, like information on secret projects, etc.

I'm taking it, if that's the case that, contests would be rare?
