I think that how clothing is done as is is horible!

I think that the player should be able to make ink and dyes, if they have a special skill to do so, and then they could dye cloth (the use of ink is mentioned in the map thread).

the use of dyed cloth would be for makeing clothing of a similar color, or colors and for other things that require cloth... ie, rugs...

the cloth could be given to a taylor in adition to the fee, wich could be lowered... and then the player recives an item for the clothing he/she purchased!

when the pants/shirt item is equiped then the clothing props of the player will be changed to that clothing. to change to something else, buy another set of cloths. players will inately start out of the set of cloths according to the "kingdom" they chose at the start of the game.

then there can be rare clothing found in dungeons, etc, wich can't be made, wich then trade of clothing could be more profitable.

clothing could also have charisma and magic bonus, etc

I don't belive so.

oh, I thought of an idea for a furniture pice:
changeing screen.
you go behind it and then you can change into any outfit you own.

maby you could have custom outfits taylored from an npc to have the sleeves you want, etc

oh, and you can't sell any clothing you are wearing and can't take it off, only change to a different outfit... that might prevent some potential problems.
