According to something Nemesis told us when Kerin was leaving Mithica, no. The levels you make are not your property, but the playerworld's. Note, I could be wrong, I just vividly recall that being said.

If you are a playerworld owner, just make a contract that you have them agree to when you hire them.

I don't think that the files must be deleted then,
but normally it is good if your opinion is respected
and the files are removed if wanted (and you really
made that, not always easy to proove).
But it depends on the case, if something is very
importat for a playerworld and then someone wants
to get more power and says the stuff will be deleted
if they don't make him co-owner then it is probably
be better to not destroy the project. Most of the
time levels or gfx made by people are not really
so very nice that they really have some value, but
can still be important (like the Graal classic city)

If not then I think playerworlds should have it. It should be up to the playerworld owner. On Sanstrata 9 out of 10 times I will respect the level maker's wishes if s/he wishes it taken down.

He's right. The levels belong to graalonline/the playerworld owner (stefan, etc) once they are submitted and have permission to go online. If someone were to submit LAT applications, however, and they were rejected (for example. same goes with accepted.) the owner could NOT put them on his playerworld, seeing as they were application, and you are basically cheating levels.

on a playerworld, you will still own the copyright to the levels and can legally force someone to take them down. But for graalonline, they kill you with the "all property submitted becomes property of graalonline".

i agree with Stefan in the case that if they are "black mailing" you using the levels like this i dont think its fare to take them down but, what about they get 100% credit with there levels, like they should put in a sign who made the town/ house/ shop/ quest/ etc...

Good point... But I would love to see you go to a lawyer and try to take legal action for levels used on an online game... Who are you kidding? They would not take you seriously at all. Threatening to sue someone just makes you sound like someone I know, and you problem know him too... He was a uneducated child who didn't know how to run a server, was addicted to graal2001, and threatened to sue you if you did something to offend him.

I think that all pw owners should make contracts with their staff.. such as "I keep your levels if you quit",etc.

If no contract is made, then the person can claim that content as theirs for as long as they wish.

But on this current subject.. I don't think it's right for staff to claim stuff as their own if it has been on the server for a long period of time.. it's like I made the market levels, snowcone shack, and pie bakery on 2k1, but I'm not going to say "TAKE IT DOWN ITS MINE" I mean it's kind of late for that you know?

It wouldn't go that far, and since you can't sue for monetary damages without registering your copyright, why pay a lawyer the money to legally force a server to take it down?

Anyways, stefan would probably step in before it got out of hand
