Market Association. . .

Well, if you want to read this prepare for a pretty long thing. For I have tons of ideas off of this..the idea revolves around the idea of the first graal2001 and maybe only guild. Its name "Market Associate" Basically a market person that can sell/trade goods or witness trades. This guild is not a staff spot to tell you right away. Me and Lyndzey were working on a market building when I thought of this. The market is basically the main trade/selling building for all of g2k1..inside there is 3 rooms. A market like room with maybe 3 stands that only people with the Market Associate tag can work. A room for selling bomys and *finally* trading bomys (dont know how can script this). And the final room a trading place for basic selling like the trade places by the mining place and by Bomboria. Yes, I know this sounds like an idea just to get guild but its not. I talked to numerous people and thought it would be good to have everything in one building to handle. I forgot to mention, for hat trades the person with the tag has power to watch trades such as anything being traded. Police can trust these people and jail the scammer if neccassary. The tag needs no special powers such as jailing or rc or ANYTHING. Just the tag and they can get into the places such as the market and other room. The last point that I just thought of 10 minutes ago is this. Maybe just MAYBE the Market Associates can clear baskets in the market. The items removed from the baskets gets put into a donation type thing in the store tower that is then sold at the market in the building. Associates WILL NOT be able to clear. ONly the 3 top ranked ones (the kings to the guild tag adder). Associates will be paid by me each week (real week, or by how much they sell) All profits goto the donation pot to pay the salarys of all the workers. The main goal is to get more items out and a basic place to do all buying/selling. Maybe we can even add a sparring part to it so it can be like the main economic center. P.S. the people chosen to be it will be chosen by the head associate (I would love this job) and be paid by him just to clear that up.

Sounds like market association is out to make some quick money from getting lots of items and hats..

Seriously.. why do we need this.. we have police that can monitor trades... I don't trust any other staff besides Police and admins when it comes to watching a trade or crime. (and taking action when I didn't witness it) I can see it now..

Some newbie will message me while I'm on police duty:

newbie: "HELP ME THIS GUY JUST SCAMMED ALL MY HATS!"
me: "do you have any evidence or witnesses?"
newbie: "I WAS DOIGN IT AT TEH TRADE BILDING! THE MARKET ASOCIATE GUY TOK ALL MY HATS AND LAFFED!"
associate guy: "I didn't take his hats, he is lying, I'm honest police can trust our association"




Clear market baskets? Are you crazy? Police can't even be trusted to clear them fairly. When they had the power to clear baskets that is ALL THEY DID. When I needed help from a gp they would be sitting at the market counting down the seconds until they could clear the basket and get all the stuff. Those baskets were clean empty for the entire time they had the power to clear them. I lost a table full of stuff because I got d/c and when I came back, there was no items at the stand or in the basket. (less than 5 minutes later)

It was rediculous.. Although I do agree we need a central trading area for all trading things.. just have it be controlled by npcs and if a big trade has to go on that involves more than one item then get a gp to watch it. We just need one place with hat trading, item trading, and bomy trading all in one.


edit: BUT STEFAN NEEDS TO CLEAR THE BASKETS MORE THAN ONCE A MILLENIA... or at least give some high level admins the power to clear them (by clearing I mean deleting the items not allowing others to take them) Like stefan did the last time he cleared the baskets he just cleared them and they were gone.. no one got them.. Deleting these items just makes the items that we have even more valuable.
